Have the console versions been datamined? That's where on-disc DLC matters, on PC pushing out a large download is a 100 times easier, and cheaper.

I dont think you realize the amount of people who buy this stuff. Look how much EA made from their sports titles from this last year. Insane.

They keep saying "we're working with Sony..." etc, but I still haven't seen an official explanation for the issue outside of vague statements like "platform limitations". And I haven't even touched single player yet so I feel like I need to have some distrust for Bioware if only to fit in with those who have seen the "terrible ending" - though I haven't seen the ending yet so this is the terrible thing I am holding over their heads!
 
Sweet this is just the kick I needed to get back into multi. Time to farm credits to save up for some Specialist pack spamming

I wonder if it has something to do with EA running their own servers, and Sony's issues with security this past year.

Excellent. I expected the MP to be terrible and while it still feels a bit unpolished in some regards I've spent a lot of time with it, much more so than the single player actually.

I was wondering why krogans couldnt be vanguards, it fits their style. Glad to see they're here.

Geths and batarians looks very nice, and asari justicars defensive bubble too.

And i'll be able to see Palaven's moon skybox more often, yay!

I imagine you'd be surprised by the amount of packs they have probably sold. Also I'm surprised they made a new map rather than adapt the Eden Prime one. Interesting.

Yeah, frankly speaking you've got to admire the economy they've got set up for MP. They must be making some serious cash off it.
 
I hope the Batarian Sentinel has a good power set and a dodge, since soldiers still suck.
 
Cool that this is free, I wasn't expecting that. Maybe this is a good way to keep a content flow and keep people interested without keeping them behind a paywall like CoD map packs. In a game like this, I'm not bothered at all when people have characters/gear I don't have because it's co-op, so if they want to make money that way why not.

just got into the multiplayer myself, only played a few matches but had a lot of fun. totally destroyed a bronze challenge with just me and some other rookie player, had soooo many close calls but we kept playing smart and survived. it was so intense.

i dont dare go into silver or gold challenges yet though lol. i think im only level 7, a human vanguard... i want a quarian already!

I wouls be more hyped for this if the multiplayer wasnt so damn grindy. Takes a while to get enough credits for a package and then you just end up with total dogshit half the time.

Yeah, dont bother with gold. I tried gold for the first time today, four lvl 20s and we had 2 infiltrators(salarian + quarian) and 2 salarian engineers against geths and camping one room the whole time to make it possible. Best races and classes for that. And even then we almost screwed on that one objective that asked us to run to the other side of the map.
 
Is this strictly multiplayer?

Or do you think they'll add Firebase Condor, and Firebase Hydra single player missions to Mass Effect 3's campaign, too?
 
Holy shit. ALL of those classes look awesome. Well, maybe not the Soldier. But that Batarian Sentinel just froze an enemy! Stasis 2.0 confirmed?

The six MP characters leaked from the first week that that guy downloaded (so yes, they weren't already on-disc) were all dead-on - I wonder if that means that people may not have to try to get them in packs and they'll just all come in one pack of six like he got them.

And fuck yeah the Krogan Battlemaster is a Vanguard! Looks like it'll be more practical to hang with biotics on Gold with him detonating combos, or better yet, doing Biotic Charges to get out of trouble instantly when shields are gone.

Asari Justicar with a Biotic field that people can stand in? Fuck yes again.

Free? Next week Tuesday already? Well, I think I might have forgiven them for waiting on my Victory and Commendation Pack this week while they fix that glitch!
 
I really don't understand why everyone is loving the multiplayer, it's so simple and basic, extremely boring on paper.

Damn, EA/BioWare must have gotten so much shit for Mass Effect 3's ending they know the only way they can fix this is giving out free DLC.

Never thought I'd see the day where EA had free DLC, let alone two free DLCs announced in consecutive days.
 
Now that I think about it, it'd be easier to make new factions split between a paywall than maps for factions everybody has. I wouldn't be surprised if factions end up being 800msp.
 
I'm kind of surprised, by what looks to be at least five new powers that don't show up in the single player campaign. I wonder if those will ever show up in single player. I also guess this confirms that we will be getting a Batarian soldier and Geth Infiltrator at some point.
