Also, Wedding Singer is his only movie worth watching. Gilmore and Madison were funny when I was a kid. Everything else of his has been absolute garbage.

I honestly think he considers himself virtually retired at this point. Any movies he does are just showing up, hanging out with his friends, and then cashing a check. The people that still pay to watch his stuff are the real problem.

I forgot about funny people. I only saw it once, but it seemed like it went on too long and they ran out of story ideas about halfway through. Not bad though.
Jack and Jill was just egregious in its advertising and lack of subtlety.

Yeah same, I clicked on that link and was like "Im not watching damn near an hour" cliffnotes that shit.
An hour-long critique for Jack and Jill is probably excessive. But it is entertaining and, of course, the criticism is insightful.

50 First Dates, Spanglish, Funny People, Wedding Singer, Anger Management. Probably a couple others in there I am forgetting. Nothing wrong with those movies imho. Could probably throw that Drunk Love or whatever in there too, wasn't my cup of tea but wasn't a bad movie.
Then again I cannot wait for 3 Stooges to hit theaters so meh.

Yeah, he's done a lot of stuff that hasn't been total crap. It's like he's trying to shit out as many crappy movies as he can before some sort of time limit.
Reign over Me wasn't a bad movie either.
It's his character from Funny People and a loose representation of himself.
What he really needs to do is stay away from the writing side of things His production credits aren't so hot either. He needs to stay in front of the camera.

sandler only makes a few kinds of movies, family (jack&jill, the story time one), standard comedies where he plays himself, character movies (thats my boy, little nicki) and the odd serious role.
his family movies are usually the worst of the bunch, followed by the character films which are hit or miss. imo he hasnt changed over the years but he has done more family garbage as of late.
