Seems like it's gotta be a launch title for Wii U with SM3DL only being recently released and Wii U hasn't gotten any serious reveals about first party launch software this close to the date. Sorta weird that they've dropped the "Bros." part of the name, but SM4 rolls off of the tongue and keyboard better. Whatever it is, I hope that it's closer in spirit to SMB3, though it would be neat to mix in a return to SMB2USA with SMB3 as well as new fun stuff with the controller, like finding and freezing Boos in the room around you and then returning to the main display for normal gameplay.

I feel like the time to name a game Super Mario 4 has already passed. New Super Mario Bros Wii is basically super mario 4 at this point. The DS game didn't quite have the scale and replayability to deserve the title, but the Wii game is basically just as big and fully featured as any previous SMB game. The level design may not be as high quality still, but it's still everything you'd expect to see in a SMB game.
