Just something to be excited about before blackout.

How do you get that?

Ya, I dunno, I was thinking about replying but I think I'll just not buy it.It is printed in the catalog that it is included for double points... how are they getting away with this?
Also, my QAR just arrived! About to dive in.![]()

Lego help line told me the Helm's Deep Orc Army combo doesn't come with double VIP, but the other combos do. Weird, since there's a link on the front page saying double VIP points that goes to that set. But at least my temptation is gone...
Might buy shuttle expedition instead.
First and foremost, congratulations to Addam for gaining so many supporters for this very well done concept on LEGO CUUSOO. The work you have put into the concepts for potential LEGO renditions of My Little Pony figures and playsets is outstanding.
We know My Little Pony is very popular, and these concepts would make great products. Our team has done our due diligence. Since the property is owned by Hasbro we've decided its neither a brand fit nor a strategic fit for the LEGO Group to pursue a My Little Pony license, and so we will not consider My Little Pony projects on LEGO CUUSOO further. We see how enthusiastic and hopeful MLP fans are at the possibility of a LEGO line and are sorry to be the bearers of this disappointing news.
Since LEGO CUUSOO opens us to new product suggestions, naturally people will suggest concepts that arent a strategic fit. We are grateful for the spirit behind projects like the My Little Pony - Friendship is Magic project. It keeps us sharp and looking toward the future of the LEGO brick.
Score! I won the BRICKSET contest for the Chicago Legoland Discovery family pack. I hope they don't expire soon, because I don't know when I can get to Chicago again.
If, and that is a big IF, I am not able to use them, I will let LegoGaf know and figure out something to get the tickets to someone.
I am at work so don't have details. But it is on BRICKSET. My wife's family lives in chicago but we live in ct. And visiting them is a big trip.Say WHAAAAA?! Well if you are unfortunately unable to go...I'm in Chicago all the time since my family lives there.
But really, Chicago has a Lego Land?!
If you opt for it when you become a VIP, they send you the catalogs every month or two (whenever they come out). Every one of them has come with SOME sort of coupon.![]()

Another cuusoo rejection.

More [stuff] here: Crowkillers work!
Any thoughts/input/suggestions would be super boss.
So...I think I'm going to return the Excavator (even though I'll get a lot of crap for it  ), but in turn, I'll be picking up the Supercar. The Supercar is going to be a secondary purchase (and an additional 119 VIP points), which gives me another $10 in VIP credit. Here's what I've got to work with.
$175 return credit
$35 in VIP credit (assuming it goes right back on)
10% off coupon
I could even exchange the Excavator for the Unimog, or I could grab a few $60-120 sets.
Does anyone have any opinions? I'm looking at all Technic here, and I'm REALLY keen on vehicles and Supercars right now. The mechanics, design, and functionality are just crazy awesome. My inspiration:

Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm not in it JUST for flagship models (which is why I've decided to return the Excavator and switch it for other stuff). Crowkillers's sets are MINDBLOWING, and while they can be built almost entirely with in production stuff (if you ignore the crazy color difficulties), a lot of his parts have been gathered from the older Supercars they produced.

Damn you, LEGO-GAF.
The Fire Brigade box now sits in my loft, ready to be assembled.
I have no idea where I'm gonna put this damn thing, but I'm excited anyway.
this model is in cuusoo? I'd like to vote for it
I think it is/was...Should check!
Oh yes it is. Here you go. I just supported it. Though the numbers are depressingly low on it right now.
Supported. That is a bad ass car. When nico posted the pic I thought it was already a Technic product and he was thinking of trading the Excavator in for it.Oh yes it is. Here you go. I just supported it. Though the numbers are depressingly low on it right now.

My alternative big Ben, made from two big Ben sets. I'd like to extend the building out to the mini tower, but I'd need some more bricks. Had to make it taller too, to compensate for the extra width

Surprised you guys aren't talking about the Lego Wii U game. The ending has the main character building a Mario pipe and it makes the noise when he goes down. Potential for a relationship between Nintendo and Lego.

What is a watcher?there is no official thread for this yet so i'll just mention:
The spiketv/gametrailers stream showed some lego lord of the rings gameplay but can't find a recording of it yet
highlights:
* demo took place in moria starting with the collapse of the cave due to the watcher, following the fellowship into the tomb and showed the switching between characters and some puzzle solving
* had full voices direct from the film, just like the trailer
* each character has their own speciality; legolas can aim and shoot with his bow, sam has a tinderbox to start fires
* typical comedic moments, for example the watcher taps a character on the shoulder right before it collapses the entrance
* graphics look really great, every bit as good as LEGO batman 2 or city stories, as expected
Any impressions from other Sopwith Camel builders here? I really think it's my favorite new model, it's right up there with the Millennium Falcon and VW van for me.

Nice to see two Big Bens gives enough bricks to try out my design. May go for it now.
