The entire point of the event was to show off gameplay/trailers of upcoming 3DS games and it did a pretty good job at that.

What's with watching these toolbags play games? I mean, I've been doing this exact same thing all my life. In fact, watching him play Paper Mario and NSMB2 took all the mystery out of it and proved how similar they are to previous titles. In fact, NSMB2 doesn't look like it takes advantage of the 3DS hardware at all!
Nintendo really disappointed this year, which is strange considering they had all the right ammunition to just obliterate the opposition.

Don't know why people were hoping for new announcements when Nintendo specifically stated they were focusing on 2012. People were either setting themselves up for disappointment or were just bitter after yesterday.
Didn't watch it, but sounds like it was a good showcase of upcoming software. Good 2012 lineup I say.

Give 3rd party dues I guess? Again there was no Japanese stuff which leads me to believe there's something else they plan to do later or Japanese devs hate America.
Well yeah, a few games is better than no games. :U
At least we still have Paper Mario. I expect to see it delayed so they can tease it a fourth time next year.

A strong 3ds makes the WiiU pretty pointless.
They will have a big line up coming, they just can't point at it right now. Keeping it to stuff we know about is their only option at this stage.
I think this is why there was no WiiU price. Since the 3DS has been so successful, they don't know what the fuck to do anymore.

Interested in Paper Mario, but it doesn't seem to be a full fledged Paper Mario experience like the first two titles.
Other than that, I might possibly try a demo of that Castlevania game if they release one. Nothing real amazing, although I wasn't expecting any new reveals just more information on games already announced.
It's not as disappointing as the Wii U e3, though.

What I want to see is a new Zelda 3DS (read: not OoT) although I'd take Majora's Mask as a worthy remake. Or Pikmin 3DS (Megaton?) Or Metroid 3DS. Or a 3D Mario on 3DS (though the new Paper Mario looks alright.)

Everything that was there looked good and I'll end up getting pretty much all of them except Castlevania. Really enjoyed what I saw of Paper Mario and surprisingly New Super Mario Bling 2. But as others have said (and what this entire E3 was like most of the time), we already knew about them and had seen them before and coming out really soon. Where's the new stuff? Where are the big names that were announced way back when but haven't made an appearance since? Seriously...what is up with this year's E3?

When the mini-presser was starting up, I wrote to my brother that I was mostly hoping for six things:
1. Fire Emblem release date (and it should be soon).
2. Animal Crossing release date (before end of the year).
3. Advance Wars announcement.
4. Mario Golf announcement.
5. New eShop content made/published by Nintendo.
6. New Zelda game.

Yep pretty much this. PM demo was fantastic. Proper E3 stuff. LM wasn't enough of, should have had that than NSMB2 imo.
Still a bit :/ about 2013 though - surely they'd announce something?

I don't know, WiiU I was super disappointed but for 3DS once it was clear they only wanted to show game coming in 2012, I think they killed it there's an uber line up. The only one I can see you guys being angry for is FE, but it's coming to EU so I'm good
