Guys. Seriously. Stop picking on the game journalists. Monitoring Neogaf for gaming news is hard enough without you guys playing tricks on them.
What the hell is going on? Is calling out GAF the new trend?

I'm so confused.

Does my reading comprehension suck? 'Cause it doesn't seem like his tweet means what the thread title says.
Seems like he's saying Patrick shouldn't call out fellow journalists, trying to insult him by comparing him to GAF. I don't get him suggesting people here try to mislead the press. We're just a bunch of jerks who point and laugh when they do dumb things, and Klepek should be above that.
I think you miss understood what he is saying. I dont think he is saying gaf is trying to actively fool the press but he is saying that gaf has been critical of gaming press and maybe other members of the gaming press shouldn't start jumping in (when Patrick rightfully pointed out how silly it is that no one has verified those leaked xbox docs are real or not)
Still you managed to get a pretty sensationalist thread title out of it.
Thats very gaming journalist of you. Good job.

This tweet happened shortly after. It's kind of hard to follow twitter conversations :\

It's simple, ignore the thread title.
He's attempting to insult Klepek by comparing him to Gaf for shitting on other journalists.
ohThere's really not much to be confused about. Not much different than the forum's meltdown about McElroy recording himself spinning in circles holding his review copy of Skyrim upon its receipt. Posting a thread like this and having the entire forum react in this way simply feeds into the attention that this manchild so desperately needs. Professional journalist indeed.
Nirolak's edit in the OP adds context but it's confusing everyone because it's the beginning of the conversation that led to McElroy saying that GAF has leaked fake info to the press. That tweet is linked in the OP.
This is also the guy who quit reviewing a game because he couldn't figure out the mildly confusing fishing tutorial a couple of hours in. And admitted he still wasn't going to review it after he did figure it out.
Edit: beaten
Can we just put the picture of that tweet in the OP so people will actually read it and not think that anyone is "misunderstanding" anything?
...and that's why gaming journalism isn't taken seriously.Well we certainly can't have journalists calling out other journalists, can we?
Klepek is the man. That is all.
Why is Gaf doing his job for him? His job is to confirm if any of this is true or talk to the leaker and post it as rumor not fact. I know this video games but I assume these people went to "prestigious" journalism schools.
:lol snapThe games press has been trying to fool GAF for decades.

...Uh oh.Wait, is this stuff true, or is OP just trying to fool kotaku into reporting it?
Oh god, McElroy was the Nier reviewer? I completely forgot that was him. What a trainwreck that was...

Edit: got that covered, Y2Kev
I'd never heard of the guy before this thread, and he sounds like a douche.
But I don't understand what's so horrible about this gif.
I mean dancing with a game is pretty goofy, but I don't understand how it destroys his reputation as a games journalist or whatever.
