So, I got my PSP on launch day. There have been a few games on the system which I look back fondly on as titles I loved. These would include the two Metal Gear Acids, Lumines, the Mega Mans, DJ Portable Max, and Exit. I have bought more games than that, but in the end, I ended up trading them back in because they weren't great games (basically, I was buying games just to justify the PSP).
The real reason I bought the system is I figured, since it was Sony, there would be lots of RPGs to play. However, all the RPGs that get released keep getting mediocre reviews and therefore I haven't bought one of them. The only exception is X-Men Legends, but the load times were bothering me on that one.
On the flip side is my DS. I bought it on launch as well and also imported a Navy Blue Lite from Japan on its release. The graphics sure aren't that great (with the exception of the 2D stuff), but man have I played some great games.
I was looking at the releases coming up for PSP for now until the end of the year and there aren't many titles that interest me:
Ultimate Ghosts 'n Goblins
Every Extend Extra
LocoRoco
Lumines 2
maybe Vice City Stories, but I am pretty sure I am just sick of the franchise now, so probably not
That really seems to be it, but I also didn't have the best release list to go by, so there might be some others I am missing.
The DS release list just looks incredible from now until the end of the year. There are a few RPGs, but honestly I didn't buy the DS expecting RPGs, so if I get a few good ones, I consider it a bonus. The real meat of the DS for me have been the other genres.
So, are there any good RPGs coming out for PSP any time soon and if so, what and when? I just know that if I sell this thing, there will suddenly be a million RPGs released (which is what happened to me with my PS2 in its early years). I refuse to buy another PSP if I were to sell this one, so there is no going back. I made an exception for the PS2, but I will not be stupid and pay for a system twice again.

...i probably spent more time playin MGA2 than i've did playing MGS3on PS2 lol (srsly lol)....probably has to do with the fact that MGA2 is portable and i play it in the bathroom and play it in bed :lol
