iPads and what we'll hire them to do for us. We talk about how measurements of the market show an unprecedented growth in mobile computing and how that leads to a new context for computing along axes of non-consumption. That could mean that the devices will become powerful enough to allow most people to be creative and reach self-realization.

Ok techno-gaf. This is one of the best and most enlightening tech related podcasts out there. Its incredible. Every episode blows my mind. Horace comes with the absolutely most fascinating and outrageous observations about the mobile industry. Its amazing. You HAVE to give this a listen. It is Apple focused, but as the description says, Apple is just a lens. Its just about technology in general and how it affects humanity. its great stuff.

The most recent episode, Supernova is one of the better ones, in my opinion. Horace goes on this huge tangent about creativity and social media and lays down so clearly and eloquently EXACTLY what you see happening on sites like twitter and tumblr and what that means for the future of creativity.

*SKYPINESS WARNING*

This weeks is another MUST LISTEN.
I forgot about this thread, and also the podcast has just been pretty unengaging lately. I think its because Horace just held the ASYMCONF which probably has taken up a lot of his thought time. Anyway. BUUUUUUMMMMMMPPPPPPPP.

Posting from my iPad so no fancy headers.. Not like anyone is gonna notice anyway.

THIS WEEK IS ALL ABOUT SURFACE. ANOTHER MUST LISTEN.

Also did anyone catch a few weeks ago when Horace was breaking down the differences in how people consume bicycles based on the infrastructure/convenience of certain locales? It was steller.

THIS IS THE BEST TECH PODCAST Y'ALL DON'T LISTEN TO

Horace and Dan look at Microsoft’s Surface through disruption colored lenses. First, the ongoing evolution of the computing value chain and how it foretold us of Surface. Second, how the economics of Microsoft’s businesses makes Surface compelling. We also begin a new segment tentatively called “Reader Questions”. This time it’s education: is it disruptable? If so how can we tell and where will it lead us?

Presumably this has nothing to do with the book by Buckminster Fuller?

welcome to my thread! you're the third person to enter!

sadly the beer is warm and flat

This weeks is also an absolute must listen. INCREDIBLY fascinating, especially if you're even vaguely aware of the Samsung/Apple lawsuit going on. Some juicy tidbits, Horace even reveals the inspiration behind the name ASYMCO.

CHECK IT OUT FOLKS!

Current Episode: Asymmetric Competition

We turn our attention to the notion of competition. It's a concept that has many contradictory connotations. What we anticipate as sporting or fair is never the way business or war is conducted. How should you think about this and why does it matter in every decision you make professionally and personally?
