Removing the potential for screen scratching was more important than adding a second stick to me, so I'll be getting an XL by the end of the year for Theatrhythm and eventually SMT IV.
Do people think the XL looks nice?
I don't.
They better change that for the US release.
Well, I know what I'm getting for Xmas. No charger is straight up nonsense.
They better change that for the US release.
If you can afford the XL, I'd say get that.
If you can't, get the regular 3DS. Just remember that the regular 3DS has some design flaws, such as the screens touching etc.
Not really. I liked the original design more.Do people think the XL looks nice?
I don't.
Will a DS Lite charger work on the thing? Not including a charger is bloody ridiculous. Not even Apple do this!
This is all I was waiting for. Hopefully homebrew and emulators aren't far behind
Wait, no charger? Do they charge USB or is this just a supremely dick move?
About 38% more length in one dimension, 90% more area.90% larger? Looks more like ~40% to me unless I'm missing something.
Nope, no charger, unless you're in the US.

Found a used red 3DS for ~~ $110/£70. I can't anywhere else to ask, should I go for it? I'm not interested in the XL/LL.
Vita has convinced me that dual sticks is NOT the mobile gaming savior...
Nintendo probably feels this way too, and is waiting for its next console to provide dual sticks. I hope they find a better form factor than Vita, my hands are raped after playing Uncharted.
Is there any explanation why they aren't bundling the charger? Is it just to press costs as Nintendo assumes that a large majority of the people buying it already have a charger from their DSi/3DS or is it just a scheme to get more money?
Following that was there any announcement for the price of the charger itself?
I assume I need to keep my original 3ds to transfer my downloaded games? Sucks, since I'd like to trade this towards the XL.
3.5 to 6.5 hours when playing 3DS games (3DS is 3 to 5).
6 to 10 hours for DS games (3DS is 5 to 8).
So in the EU we get what again? Silver, Blue, and Red right? And they ALL have that black surrounding area on the main screen correct?
