If you want Atlus games: US version
Ugh.US = £128 ($199) with charger.
UK = £180 with no charger. ( http://www.play.com/Games/Wii/4-/33367398/0/Nintendo-3DS-XL-Console-Silver-Black/ListingDetails.html )
Not a fucking chance.
Yeah it'll be closer to £149.
They will have to make another frankenstick no? The current one wouldn't fit...
I'd get one if they weren't region locked.
Since I just tried the Etrian Odyssey IV JAP demo I'm gonna murder someone if it dosen't come to NA, it's simply beautiful in every aspect and thats on the regular 3DS screen.still waiting for Etrian Odyssey IV, Soul Hackers and SMTIV US announcements... they will eventually come right?!
America the red, black & blueNo white in the US?
God damnit...
Any dimensions and weight?
Also people expecting a second slide pad got burned. I wonder if Nintendo devised someway to better integrate a redesigned circle pad pro for the machine?
It's coming, no question about it. But I wouldn't expect an announcement until sometime after the Japanese release in July.Since I just tried the Etrian Odyssey IV JAP demo I'm gonna murder someone if it dosen't come to NA, it's simply beautiful in every aspect and thats on the regular 3DS screen.
I can't believe how hard nintendo shit on me for buying a 3DS at launch. Thanks.
Yes. All the games have been developed/tested at the original resolution, so changing it was always highly unlikely.Didnt the DSi XL have the same resolution as the DSi ?

For people from Europe who are interested in buying the 3DS XL but don't have a DSi or 3DS ac adapter
900mA EU Charger for NDSi/DSi (100~240V AC)
For about 3
They send stuff pretty quick and DealExtreme is a pretty good website overall with crazy prices. If you are sure to get that thing, then you should order that ac adapter now.
It's pretty disappointing that Nintendo doesn't put something this important in the package already, but if you know how to help yourself then it actually isn't that kind of a big deal.
Longer battery life! YES! Wait. Half hour longer with a 1:1 3D play/charge time ratio.
Hardware revisions are a given.I can't believe how hard nintendo shit on me for buying a 3DS at launch. Thanks.
Another circle pad pro is needed. I wish that at least a better integrated solution is created, not an improvised one that even requires an extra battery. They will have to make another frankenstick no? The current one wouldn't fit...
Thanks! Where did you get the info. Even bigger and heavier than the Vita? This is not a portable, it's a hanheld device for home use.Weight is my biggest concern with the unit... this will be the heaviest handheld out there by a good margin.
- 3DS XL - 336 grams
- DSi XL - 314 grams
- PSP1000 - 280 grams
- Vita - 260 grams
- 3DS - 235 grams
- DSLite - 218 grams
- DSi - 214 grams
- PSP2000- 189 grams
- PSPgo - 159 grams*
The DSi XL is not light over extended play and this one's going to be even heavier...
Why couldn't they just add a new 2nd small video card that only specializes in uping the resolution?
You're welcome... I compiled the list myself; the 3DS LL weight is on the first page of this thread, and all the other weights are from individual system specs pulled off the web...Thanks! Where did you get the info. Even bigger and heavier than the Vita? This is not a portable, it's a hanheld device for home use.
I feel sorry for anyone who buys the 3DS XL intending to play DS games on it...You cannot "up" the resolution of an image after it has been rendered. Just like you cannot "up" the resolution of JPEG screenshots. You can enlarge it and make it blurrier or pixelated, but you cannot add more detail. 3DS games would end up looking like DS games look on the 3DS.
Doesn't the DSi and DSi XL have different connectors/charger? I can't remember since I got rid of my DSi a long time ago and only have the XL but if so who's to say the same won't be true for the 3DS XL.
You can use your AC adapter from your 3DS, DSi LL or DSi. Or, you can buy an AC Adapter separately. The adapter runs ¥1,500. Nintendo will also sell a cradle for ¥1,200.
I'd get one if they weren't region locked.
Running DS games at native resolution on a 3DS XL should be a big improvement. No more blurry scaling, but not postage stamp-sized either.I feel sorry for anyone who buys the 3DS XL intending to play DS games on it...![]()

lololol Nintendo straight up lied to our faces last week
It's been confirmed that it's possible to transfer everything, including Ambassador status, games and saved funds. You'll need to have both 3DSes in your possession to do that, however.Do you guys think it will be possible to transfer the Ambassador Program games over to the 3DS XL? Do not want to lose those games when I trade in my old 3DS.
