Mass Effect 3 Extended Cut is coming next week [Up: Out now, my sweet]

The fact that Shepard subordinates her-/himself to Space Kid is still thematically contradictory to everything the 3 games has established beforehand.

wow at control...shepard

and geth are there.

(btw the slides in the stream are the same because its the same SAVE and it gets the same decisions.at least i hope....)

This was posted on the BSN:

One of the goals for the Extended Cut, as part of addressing player feedback, was to provide more time with the love interest, and more opportunity for players to say goodbye to them and provide additional moments of connection between them. We did this in several ways:

Shepard can now actually say goodbye to the love interest when they are split up at the conduit run.

When Shepard sees flashbacks of important characters during the final decision, the flashbacks are now variable based on your playthrough – so your love interest can appear as one of the flashbacks, providing another moment of reflection between Shepard and that character.

A memorial scene was added, partly to show a close bond between Shepard and the love interest. The scene is variable, and if Shepard has a love interest in a given playthrough, it will be that character who places Shepard’s name on the memorial wall.

You may notice that in the “Shepard lives” ending, the love interest hesitates to place Shepard’s name on the wall, and instead looks up as though deep in thought. This is meant to suggest that the love interest is not ready to believe Shepard is dead, and the final scene reveals they are correct. As the Normandy lifts off, there is hope that the love interest and Shepard will again be together.

don't choose destroy?

I didn't, I picked control because it's the only I one that wasn't completely opposite to my characters morality and didn't seem to have any downside besides Sheperd dying. It still made little sense.

Any changes to the control ending?

I still believe the Indoctrination theory is correct, given that when you try to shoot the starchild his voice turns into Harbinger and says "so be it".

Destroy is the happy ending because it rejects indoctrination.

You free to believe in UFOs and unIcorns.

I'll still think you are slighty insane though.

What the hell was Normandy running away from? There's no relay explosion in this one

Running away from a giant red explosion looking thing that isn't actually exploding anything. Cause the Normandy is fast enough to outrun it that long they didn't know the shit was harmless (or well harmless to everyone except EDI).

Same exact slideshows as destroy, but now with different narrator.

Would having new slides make it any better? Showing a different drawing of the same scene would be silly.

The point is having slides in general seems cheap, not because there aren't more of them.

Shepard and his army of neighborhood friendly Helper-Reapers is quite possibly the surreal thing I've seen in a video game.

Clearly Destroy is the fanservice ending though. A poor attempt at it, but yeah.

Finished the Synthesis ending. Kinda lame, actually.

The Reapers are helping the galaxy make new stuff, while EDI now believes the galaxy can transcend morality itself.

The Refusal ending is the only thematically consistent ending. Too bad Space Kid's terms for releasing Space Magic aren't.

So they just outright retconned everything? The ending happened three months ago. They can't even avoid retconning things they just did?

Retcons the relays exploding into just kinda falling apart. That way they can go on to show that things get repaired and rebuilt without galactic civilization starving to death.

Sooo, is it really necesary to reload a save prior to cerberus base, or can you use your autosave right before the beam?

You'll miss like one scene that explains why everyone is evacuating, but you can just do Restart Mission: Citadel just fine.
