Shoot Many Robots and Trine 2 are so bought. Thank heavens that the GoD sale has been extended for another week; it seems that the sale did good. I thought I was going to have to check out R* Table Tennis before the new sale came in. It's too bad Jet Set Radio is nowhere near the horizon so that sucks :(.

And for people on the fence about it, I highly recommend Sega Superstar Tennis. A lot of the stages are nostalgia trips. Plus the mini games are pretty fun. I just think that Dr.Eggman's Superstar power is broken. It's too bad the MP community is dead for it. I tried to find a match last week and didn't find anything despite the sale giving people a chance to revive it.

PS3 version is that you get RE Directors Cut, RE2, RE3, RE4 HD, RE5 Gold and RE6

All of the games seem to be digital download codes except for RE6.

Holy balls. This has escaped me entirely somehow. I have been considering dropping some coin on building my digital collection on PS3 (PS1 classics and PS2 HD updates). This looks like the perfect cornerstone to begin such a thing.
 
The "Sales and special" app shows up on the marketplace, as an ad, at least here in the US.

I don't remember it being available before. The closest thing to it I remember was the "Destination Arcade" app, which didn't really DO too much...
 
So I remember reading the devs for Shoot Many Robots were teasing a dual analog patch. Has that ever been released cause I will buy if so.

Otherwise, I remember playing the demo and struggling mightily with the controls.

Game seems pretty heavily geared towards IAPs, no matter how well it controls.

Yeah, sorry, in-app purchase, which is the closest description of what it is. By all accounts it's grindy as hell, and if you want the best weapons and gear you basically have to spend Microsoft Points on bundles of the in-game currency. It seems that it's balanced more towards forcing you to pay for them, rather than earning them in game.

lets not get this mistaken, multiplayer achievements are mostly crap, and offline 3 player multiplayer achievements in a pretty hardcore game like this suck dick (if the description is correct).

it wont affect my purchase of the game because ive been waiting patiently to buy the hell out of it, but it is a dick move to put in an achievment like this.
 
They're not my favorite thing either, but eh, they're "Achievements", not "Handed to me because I played the game"-ments. And at least offline achievements would be able to be obtained, even if no internet is available.

At least the potential to beat the game in 8 min or less should make it so that chances of getting 2 friends together, and finding how to get to that end, are a bit better than if you had to spend hours beating the game, no question.
 
maybe this one will be easier than it seems. multiplayer achievements are can be a real pain though. hopefully its not as annoying as it sounds. didnt know it could be actuall beaten in so short a time. (ive never actually beaten the freeware version.)

either way, sounds like the at least a few achievements for this game are going to be damn hard.

i have no problem with difficult achievements. just ones that are logistically a pain in the ass and ones that are just unfair. this one has the potential to be a pain, but we'll see.

either way. i am SUPER excited that this game is coming out and i cant wait to play.
 
bought borderlands (been waiting forever for a discount on the GoD version since I sold my Goty copy) and Trine 2

i havent played Trine 1 yet, have it on Steam but right now can't play anything on my computer, how important is the first game in regards to the 2nd?
 
Watch out for that Sales & Specials+ App: it will eat your quarters! They let me pay for Pinball FX Classic again. It showed up as my not having bought it, though I could have sworn I played Agents. I dismissed my recollections as being of the trial. Downloaded, logged in... I have a high score and an achievement for Agents. Goddammit! Now I have to demand my points back.

Checking out the Trine 2 demo. Does it... tighten up? So far it seems really janky compared to other loot-grinding platformers (OK, IGAvanias). It's like the difference between a classy puzzle game and some Popcap thing.

Actually, you probably didn't have it. If you had the original Pinball FX game on XBLA, those four tables were unlocked in FX2, and that DLC was for people who didn't have Pinball FX to unlock them. It's a different file, though, so even though you had the tables from FX you wouldn't have ever purchased the DLC.

I'm assuming you used to have Pinball FX.

Not because it's bad because it's not, it's just simple and came out quite a while back.

Phone support credited me the 400msp painlessly.

I bought the Pinball FX Classic Pack in last year's Black Friday sale. What I bought today was listed as the same thing. I think it was the same thing.

Wow, that's quite the oversight then! I guess it makes sense that it's possible, it must be using a different/hidden marketplace because otherwise it wouldn't be able to contain deals that are only available in the app.

The speed of the refund suggests they know they messed up as well, usually it's like trying to get blood from a stone. Good to hear it's sorted

No.

I know it's blasphemy to say this, as it's generally well loved around here, but Outland really never gets interesting. You might gain a few more abilities here and there, but the gameplay is the same.

It's a visually interesting game that teases some Metroid mechanics, but in the end it just feels shallow to me.
 
Yeah, the fighting isn't very interesting. Just whacking X.

Then once I realised I could literally just run and jump the entire way through levels... Eh.

The Doritos sponsored games are actually worth downloading. (Crash Course and Harms Way, think the dinosaur one was delisted).

Ageis Wing is also free.

I'm not in the US. All i see for free on the Australian XBLA is that Totem game. No Doritos stuff.

I guess i will spent the points was hoping to horde them for a Deal of the Week. That Gotham City Imposters game sounds intresting.

Unrelated my Forza 3 Ultimate 'Stigs Garage car pack' download code says its already being used. I assume i got jibbed by EB Games?
