POETRY, BITCHES!

Are these sarcastic? I remember a few pages back, people were comparing Bruce driving his car at the end of TDK trailer to the shot of Selina driving his car at the end of TDKR trailer and saying it was poetry. These am jokes right?

What would he/did he rate The Dark Knight?

@Inferno313 #2, #3 and #1 for the general filmgoer, #3,#2, #1 for me. I think this film closed the trilogy brilliantly, and Nolan took ris

Seems like he thinks TDKR>TDK>BB, whereas he thinks you and most people will do TDK>TDKR>BB, except for Solo, where it's CR>BB>nothing, because everything else is meaningless, and you are morons if you believe otherwise.

I do that right, Solo?

Why so serious?

@Luigumus Godfather 3 never happened. Xmen 3& spiderman 3 were awful, this film was the perfect final chapter in the trilogy

So, at least TDKR won't be as bad as Troll 2.

feels so strange to have these opinions now and still 2 weeks til its out

going back to that guy, and his 9 for TDKR, sounds like he says 8 for both TDK and BB. So Avengers > TDK/BB :/

It's all fake, you guy's. Just go home, it's all over.

From a poster on SHH...

Here we go. Before I start, I can't handle the questions. I'm not answering them. I'm not spoiling the movie for anyone. No PMs with spoilers.

Having said that, HOLY MOLEY DEPUTY COMMISSIONER FOLEY, this is a great film. It's not a summer blockbuster by any means, and yet, it totally is (if that makes sense). The biggest question everyone asks: "is it better than TDK?" and I'll answer that by saying it's really different. Everything's different. The characters are different (even Bruce at first), the tone is different, and the story is different. But everything is BIGGER and, in my eyes, better. I love the Joker as much as anyone else (my favorite villain in any medium) but Bane's plan is more creative, better executed, and a little more fun to watch as it all unfold.

I also don't want to get into story specifics because there's really no need, but listen...if you've followed this forum like I have and read most of the "spoilers" over the past few months, I can tell you that many of us have guessed correctly on many of the various story tidbits that have come our way. Still, that doesn't make this film any less exciting to watch and there are PLENTY of surprises still in store (scenes, moments, plot points). I beg you all: DON'T READ SPOILER REVIEWS. You're all so close! Why would you want to read specific quotations and the fates of characters and the film's ending? I'll never understand that.

More to come...

Do you disagree with what he's saying?

Yes.

Could action scenes be better? Sure. But I still loved them, and a lot of other people do as well. Part of the reason I love Nolan's work is that everything you see in his movies was his vision, his work. You know he's in full control of anything you see, good or bad.

Well, I agree with what he's saying. For me, Nolan is a damned fine director, with his only major flaw being his ineptitude with action. A quality second unit guy could work wonders for him.

And on the writing front, I find him to be Lucas-esque - amazing ideas man, but someone else should be penning the actual words.

Well I can't agree with that.

If something can obviously be better then I think the director needs to know when to take a step back and allow someone else to take over. Action scenes to me should be treated like the score or wardrobe. He isn't capable of crafting a great wardrobe or a beautiful score so he gives that task to someone else and the movie is better for it. Action scenes aren't really his thing IMO. His action scenes are extremely boring to watch and the movies aren't as good as they could be as a result.

So Alfred is Robin and Bane is the Riddler? Guess I don't need to see this movie anymore.
