Guys, stop me from doing something horrible.

I read this Stean article that tells me you get a 30% trade in bonus at Gamestop towards Steam Wallet cash this week. Seriously considering trading in all of my 360 games that I haven't touched in months and using this as cash for the summer sale.

But I hate giving Gamestop my dinero!

Think long and hard about whether you want to play any of those games again.
 
Well, I have about eight games that I have not touched in a year + and don't forsee myself playing again. Plus there are games in there like Bioshock that I can probably trade in for 8$ and buy for 8$ sometime on a sale.

Selling stuff on eBay is just such a pain. And paypal sucks to deal with if you aren't a regular eBayer.

Tell me what they are. Gamestop is evil, but Steam credit will go far. And as you mentioned, you can probably get every Bioshock game out for like 5 bucks at some point through Steam. And on the master-race, to boot!

Alright so eight turned into eleven upon further searching (seriously I still have boxes I have yet to unpack from moving a year ago)

  • Arkham Asylum
  • Assassin's Creed 2
  • Bioshock 1
  • Oblivion GOTY
  • Ico and SOTC Collection (was not a fan of either game)
  • NCAA '11 (lol two bucks)
  • Vanquish
  • Deus Ex HR (this is going to be a daily, I know it)
  • Resident Evil 5
  • Battlefield 3 (No Live makes this useless)
  • Fallout: NV

I really don't feel like I'd miss any of those games on the 360 to be honest. Wouldn't miss Vanquish or Ico at all on the PS3 either. If I could even get 60$ for these that'd go quite a ways for the summer sale.

if you haven't even unpacked them for a YEAR get rid of them, it's basically cash sitting around....you won't miss 'em


Also, even without live battlefield 3 is okay, the tank portion sucks hugely though.
 
Yes to all, unless the TIV is really shitty. You can upgrade to PC on all of them later, except Ass Creed. Always Online bullshit. NCAA 11 is a coaster, so 2 is good enough. Ico you can't, but if you didn't like, might as well.

There is a Square/Eidos thing with Deus Ex, but I imagine you are right, it will probably be a daily. I don't want all that other stuff they packed it with.

Yup, I prune my collection every now on then. Maybe lose another 8-10 games. Sometimes I decide just to rebuy them on GoG and save the space, other times I just realize I never had too much interest in them anyways.

Books have poor resale for the most part. Shipping is always more on top of the fact most will net a dollar or two at most. I'm also far more partial to having a large book collection anyways. Its also far easier for me to read a book then to play a game.

Something something about reading being sexy too. :O

it's so hard to part with a good book....the only time we've really culled our books is when we realized we didn't after moving in and had a lot of duplicates.

Only ones I've sold off/Got rid off were generally ones I picked up as a kid, and just didn't care for at all anymore. Like some of those Diablo Books and Manga.

As I learned with my attempts to play Portal (bought in the last Steam sale), motion blur isn't really my issue so much as the jarring camera movements when using keyboard/mouse controls are. That's why I asked about controller support. That generally smooths out the camera enough to make bearable. I have a low tolerance for shaky cameras now.

Regular corgis are close to perfection but some of those are really adorable and I like seeing unusual looking dogs. I loved the Husky, German Sheppard, Dalmatian, Papillon, Australian Shepherd, and English Bulldog ones.

Derp face is adorable! My dogs wouldn't be nearly as cute if they didn't look so stupid sometimes.
