Yeah, you've got to enter that code on your Xbox which will allow you download the app. Run that app and that's it, you'll be registered.
Same as the last one. You use the key to download the beta registration app. Run it, then a day or two later you'll be in.

first thanks for the link to the person that post it. i download the app couple hours ago and now i am already update. so far very smooth and browser work great. browser sems to be base on ie 10 metro version and it is currently my browser of choice. i am posting this from my xbox.
This update is sweet. Everything seems more easy to get to quicker. The one thing I wish they would have changed is the sounds on the dashboard. The click A button sound and the B button exit. The fact that this is the only thing I can think of changing at the moment is indicative of how polished this is.
Why not? What's with this?
And what's up with the NAT thing? Is everyone set to Moderate?

Ain't that some shit? Wireless peripherals have stopped working? I'm getting ready to leave the country for a year but I was planning on taking at least a DJ Hero turntable and probably my GH3 Les Paul. That sucks.

Looks like those two peripherals work still. I don't have a Les Paul anymore, and haven't tried DJ Hero myself. However, my GH:WT and GH5tars no longer work in any of the RB or GH games. The keyboard periph still works in RB3 though. I have no idea why it's hit or miss, or what the problem is, exactly.

Had an update today and checked it out quickly, pinning items is very nice and a good way to group your regular games together, the new layout in some areas is much better and overall it feels like it has much more polish and care put into it then the first time the 360 changed to this layout.
got the update. the new dash is very nice. looks better, pinning is great, quicker library rules.
i havent used a console browser since the Dreamcast days, so this is a big improvement. still feels like a console browser though. totally does porn too, mobile sites.
my Beatles Rickenbacker still works. maybe its just GH stuff for some reason. but werent they made by the same company?
need to check to see if mics and drums work at all.
edit: guitar only works in the dashboard, not in game! boo.

It seems like they have sorted out the demos section; now showing only retail demos for me. Can anyone confirm?

Yup. I noticed the same thing last night.
I'm remembering the dolts over the weekend complaining about that and how terrible it was. I had to remind them they are participating in a REAL BETA, and thus things are going to get fixed over the coming weeks and months.

Played around a little with IE last night and, man, it is quite a snappy browser for the TV. Unfortunately, couldn't get Vimeo to work, even when I forced IE to go to the mobile page. Anybody know any other HTML5 video streaming site I can throw at this thing?

The UK store is a bit behind and is still showing all the Indie and Arcade trials, so you may have some trouble finding the retail demos amongst that lot. Should be updated soon.
You may also notice that we don't have the add-ons tab yet (unless it's been updated in the last few hours).

In the E3 demo 'games' was the third tab after 'social' on the home screen.
Maybe they can't change it yet without it changing for everyone? Or they've changed their mind.

yeah no Flash support for IE on XBL really limits its usefulness IMO. I'd prefer to go through the youtube website to view videos instead of using their turd excuse of an app.
The games tab should be the first one to the right of the home tab. I will NEVER use the social tab because its far faster and much more intuitive to access your friends through the guide button.

I was going to say a certain site that is similar to Youtube in name uses HTML 5 for its xxx videos but it doesn't work either. Something about xbox360 doesn't support downloading of files

I tried download Flash to see what would happen. He comes up with something like "Xbox can't download that stuff" or something. Tried another download and got the same thing.

That was the first thing I noticed on Friday. I posted about it then. Really bizarre, as they had to changed on stage at E3, but now it's right back to where it's always been.
I just received the update. My very first reaction was: "Whoa, everything seems so much bigger." Its almost as if you hit the "zoom" option on your TV's remote. The tiles in the system tab are freakishly big. I like that I can see more of my custom wallpaper, but I hate that grey fade/glow. I want it gone completely.
IE is a console browser. I have little use for it.
Pinning stuff is very useful. Probably eliminates the need for quickplay, if you set it up right.
I wish the quick guide's game and achievement list images would be set to their proper sizes. If you go to your avatar/game info on the'social' tab, and then to your achievements you see their proper sizes and it looks so much cleaner. In the quick guide, they're rough looking images. And the same for your gamer/personal picture. It's pretty ugly, up there atop the quick guide. I wish it wasn't there, when there's just one controller and one account logged in. That's the only reason it's there, right? To distinguish whose using the quick guide?
And that's about it, I guess? I don't know of anything else this update is bringing. Smart Glass was usable before this update. Well, some of it is. I'm not sure if the companion stuff is all there is to it. I forget most of that stuff from E3.

I like the new games area with the new sections broken out.
They have to protect Xbox Live and your Xbox. By not allowing you to download and install anything, it maintains a closed system, which for all of us is better in the long run. Sure it sucks not having Flash because the majority of sites still use it but it's a huge resource hog and with 512mb of RAM on the 360, I doubt it would run very well.

The lack of flash I understand as Flash is a shit stain on the internet but lack of HTML5 on most sites is a deal breaker.
