Darksiders 2 new info! [one month away from release]

Bold claims, but the game certainly looks filled to the brim with variety, flexibility and content.
 
Anyone here ever have issues with the origional darksiders on pc? I have never fully played through the origional, so I redownloaded it via steam and the game is running at 60 FPS, but when I pan the camera the best way I can describe it is it looks jerky?

I have turned on vsync, and that didn't help. Specs are below:

Intel core i7 2600k
8 GB pc 16000 RAM
Nvidia GTX 570
Windows 7 ultimate 64 bit.
 
Wow that is really impressive, I don't know anything about WOW but that sounds amazing.

Same here, and let me tell you, I've tried everything that can be done to fix it. It seems that it's something that started after the 290.X drivers, so going back to a set before this should make the game run ok. Actually this problem is kinda random, sometimes it's really annoying, sometimes you can't even notice it.

As I think that downgrading to a driver so old isn't gonna be worth it, just forget about those small hiccups and enjoy the game.

That didn't work. That really sucks. No wonder I didn't remember this being an issue before. I probably haven't played it since the 290 drivers came out. I am gonna try downgrading to see if that helps and then upgrade again after playing it.

Agreed, I've been watching all the official hype videos and previews, but I just can't ruin that first play through by watching someone else do it!

Well the game is also freezing for me in the exact same area. I have verified my team integrity. This blows.

That's extremely doubtful and the media doing that to the game will do it no favors. I do believe the first seeds of backlash for GTA 4 were planted by the media's embarrassing reactions to it. Not that I'm saying it wasn't a hugely disappointing crap game, because it was. But I'm sure the media contributed.

Sorry if this has been asked before but is any of the preorder DLC (Gamestop, amazon) going to be Day 1 DLC for the preorder people or is it to-be-released DLC in the 30/60/90 day DLC for the season pass? I hope that question makes sense. I'm still trying to decide if I should preorder from THQ or from another source.

I agree that GTA 4 was shit but i'm just curious what some of your favorite games are.

Can you name a few?
 
This game really seems to have that old school classic vibe going for it. I mean that in terms of truly quality single player games with meat, it's art and overall design. The first one struck that chord a bit with me, but this seems to really drive that vibe home hard and then some. I guess it's more of an old school meets new school sort of deal.

Can't say I care that much. They are the first minutes of the game.
Hardly "spoiler-heavy" about anything worthy of mention and even less likely the most exciting part of the game.

That said, there's a little thing I noticed and I have to beg you guys and any other game designer in the world: please, PLEASE, let the whole "press X button very fast to win" die.

Don't ever use it again in future games. It's just not fun.
No, worse than that... it's actually annoying.

From this gen? It's a pretty small list. I haven't thought about it much.

New Vegas, Alpha Protocol, Lords of Shadow would maybe make the top 10. Maybe Just Cause 2. Crusader Kings 2.

I just had to deal with this myself. Download MSI Afterburner and create a profile with the OSD Server and have it limit the game to 60fps. Limiting it through Inspector still leaves jerkiness for some reason.

EDIT: Are there any pre-order deals currently going on for the PC version?

Same thing happens with me but FRAPS never drops below 59. I think that's just the way it is.
