Atlus, Gust, and Namco Bandai talk about future titles (Atlus having surprise collab)

Persona series director Katsura Hasino said he is currently focused on the next numbered title. (He doesn’t mention a series, but we’re assuming he’s talking about Persona 5.) Atlus designer Shigenori Soejima has drawn sketches, and the project is steadily moving forward. Also, Atlus is planning a collaboration project that will surprise everyone. However, its announcement is still far ahead.

Gust’s Yoshito Okamura said he is working so his next game reflects both his company and their new parent company Tecmo Koei. His next title will have the image of a rule of right RPG.

Namco Bandai producer Kay Hirono teased, “Since becoming a part of the team various things have been carried out, the time we can make announcement about that is coming sometime.”

Maybe someone can collab with GUST to make a battle system that isn't horrible.

Also imagine a GUST FG, lol. If that happens I called it like 8 months ago!

I got reminded of it. It'd be neat.

Anyway, I expect this more to be something like Project X Zone rather than a series crossover. I can't actually see them doing a Persona/SMT x Y crossover, given that series being a bit of an oddball that I can't really see crossing over too well. Plus, all their SMT teams are busy.

With talk about how Gust wants to take in some of its parent companies talents, I highly expect Atelier Musou.

They should do a crossover of their own series. Persona users and devil summoners in the same game fuck yeah.

But really, I don't think it'll actually be a crossover of existing franchises. It'd probably Atlus handling the art and whatnot, while the other does the gameplay or vice versa.

Actually yeah, that's more likely. Hell, maybe they've been hired by Nintendo to do something, like Team Ninja was for Other M.
 
I'd rather see Atlus getting chummy with SNKP, since their distribution of KoFXIII in the States seems to have worked out well for both parts, but since they went with Arksys to FG-ize Persona, I have no idea what a collaboration between them would play like, nor what IPs it might involve...

Nightmare Geese or Akari's summons as personas?....
 
So media of P5 will probably come next year. I wonder what the special collab will be? They already did a fighter, maybe an action game?

You know, this really might be more likely than we think.

Spoilers for the new Soul Hackers release:

Raidou Kuzonoha appears in the endgame dungeon, so maybe they're going to revive the dude in an action game.
 
Persona / Rival Schools / Mega Man X crossover, plays like Mega Man Zero + dating sim, in the good ending, X marries Aigis and they have blonde metool babies

"Shigenori Soejima has drawn sketches" haha they are really gonna squander all the series momentum they've got going. Not that I'm in a rush for P5 or anything, but I know other folks won't be happy.
