Yes, Forza is ruined, now you can go away to in search for other games. Seriously, go away, this game is not for you and its not getting any better (from your POV), plus no one here appreciate your comments.

i hope forza can redeem itself by 5, thats why i stay ;)

Fuck yes. Add a helicopter or two and this could be my GOTY.

Just use the ignore list feature and don't pay him any attention. It's the only reasonable way to deal with such people.

Sorry guys, but IMO this is not the right way to see this situation (or similar ones).

Greatest thing about NeoGAF is more/less open-mind policy and ability to voice all types of opinions. Unlike many, many other gaming forums/communities, NeoGaf's greatest achievement is creation of discussions that can expose different views on the same matter while maintaining visibility to potential persons of interest.

Criticism should be allowed, as well as expressing opinions. I can be happy about the Horizon, Xanadu can be disappointed. But both of us should be allowed to voice our opinions and discuss them in context. This forum and these discussions (which are more-less held by the same 20-30 people throughout driving-game boards, you are aware of that as much as I am) should be open and transparent, not some closed *shrine* type of threads where only positive opinions are allowed.

With so small amount of places we can discuss driving games in universal forum without being edited/deleted/banned/whatever, voicing any type of opinion should be welcomed, not exodusized.

Also, this particular Xanadu's criticism clearly comes from someone who would like the game to be better and more in veins of what such type of game could be, and not made for casual audience in order to achieve as much sales as possible on premise how "hard-core do not buy the games". From my point of view he is fighting a good fight. And I agree with him mostly. Complete *casualization* and *CODisation* of the overall gaming - and driving games also - is not good. And every day a new series, title or genre is becoming a victim of that (inevitable unfortunately) process. Same goes for Mascot's criticism over DLC/VIP management which is also absolutely valid criticism that is really not highlighted enough and does not get enough attention.

Criticism and voicing these types of opinion should be welcomed and used as a anchor to widen the discussion and expose the possible shortcomings of principles proposed by developer/publisher for the upcoming title. Presumption how developers are monitoring NeoGAF - they are, no doubt about it - is a credit all of us have on disposal in order to make the games we expect (and love) maybe a tad better for *us*. We are those that will play those games 2-3 months after they've been released. Casual Force will just showel them, trade them and forget about them, moving onto new hotness. We are the one who stays and play those games for months after release. And our opinion should matter.

Silencing constructive criticism (heck, even non-constructive one) or putting persons on ignore-lists just blocks very important perspective for discussion and makes threads into *shrines*. Which is no good.

Of course, everybody to his own, but I would really not love to see how different opinions disappear just because they are not welcomed per-se. It would be a sad day for GAF and I hope it will never happen.

But it's not constructive criticism. He has been trolling in every forza thread under 2 different accounts, and his go to defense is but I love forza 1. He has lied about a bunch of stuff as well. He doesn't add anything to the conversation he gets his kicks out of being an ass.

Edit: As a matter of fact just click on this threads post count, then click on his post. Almost all but 1 of his 40 something post are negative. If you are that down on it why would you keep posting?

Sure, but there is levelheaded criticism and reasonable discussion to be had, and then there is borderline trolling full of exaggeration and simply ridiculous claims. Xanadu's been doing little but spamming Forza threads with the same tired old thing (it boils down to "Forza 1 was great, everything that followed it was trash") for years now. There's really little need for anyone familiar with him to read his posts, we all know what he's going to say. And again. And again. And again. Ad nauseam.

Mind you, nobody's calling for his ban or anything like that. He's certainly free to voice his opinion, but we're also free to use the tools at our disposal to remove it from the feed if we deem he has nothing valuable to add to the discussion.

I agree with Amar that everybody's opinions are equally valid. Xanadu has a particular... style, shall we say. I just make necessary adjustments when reading his posts and look for the underlying message behind the sarcasm. Hell, I can be a sarcastic bastard at times (Really? NO WAY..!) but it's just a tool I occasionally use to get my point across. I generally only post about subjects that I'm passionate about, and as we know, passion can raise temperatures.

Amar makes another great point about shrine threads. I don't think any GAF racing game threads have gone this route (as racing games are generally too divisive for everybody to agree on), but shrine threads on fan boards can be very dangerous places, and can give developers over-inflated egos and make them rest on their laurels.

Quick question in the middle of all this fanboy jousting, Is FH an MMO like TDU or a single player with a multiplayer option??

I just hope the VIP content is turned into regular DLC down the line. The Lambo and Pagani are two vehicles I really would want in the game, but I'm not paying an extra £20 for them...

But this isn't a shrine thread.

Nobody is giving the game any praise because A) We barely know anything about it and B) Nobody has played it. If when the game comes out and everyone is fawning over it then the more people bringing up actual flaws is a good thing.

But bringing his tired act over multiple threads while not adding anything to the discussion is just annoying.

I'm in the absolute minority who actually enjoyed NFS Pro Street for what it is. Horizon is giving me the same vibe so I'm looking forward to it.

The cultural atmosphere I've been longing for in Forza seems to be somewhat projected in Horizon. Hopefully, this also means that FM5 will finally include that race day feel that every Tom, Dick and Harry has been screaming for what seems like forever..

Having said all that, enough with the pussyfooting around Turn 10 and give us some shit to get really excited about already ffs!
You're not alone bro, ProStreet is one of my favourite racers this gen.

Agreed, and it's unlikely to ever be one. That's what I like about GAF: it's like a good semi- drunk session in a cozy pub with my mates, lolling around on comfy sofas in front of a log fire, talking shit about stuff we like to talk shit about. If we all shared the same opinions it wouldn't be half the fun that it is.

Amar, one thing is having a constructive criticism and point out thing, having wishes for a game to become something we want, another very different thing point out everything thats wrong (to your own point of view) with the game page after page after page for years and for every title, its been 7 years since Forza 1 was released, the game is not going to turn into something that is not.

I maybe new here but i been posting in ForzaCentral since 2005 and reading this forum more a few years now, he always do the same and its annoying. You are very critic of Forza franchise too and sometimes i disagree with a few things you say but i would never ask you to leave because you dont act like him, simple as that.

One thing its being a critic, another thing its being and ******* .

Yup, those pics got me more excited than all the other ones combined. Just seeing the traffic and them flying down "real" roads is just awesome.

really looking forward to pax hands on impressions. please delve into the options to report what control over assists there are and how the game handles in comparison to forza.
