I've never seen so much bitterness post-Apple event.

Shure uses some really shitty-quality plastic around their wires. I had a pair last all of 6 months as the insulation around the wiring began to crack and come apart.

because they spent a lot of money for it.Everyone always praises Shure, but I really don't like my Shure SCL4s. Maybe that is why they were so cheap

Finally a company finds out that you are supposed to direct sound INTO the ear. Why didn't anyone else think of that? Of course Apple would figure this out before any other company. How truly Audiotionary. Those three years of R&D were worth it. And that name!

I dunno man. No ones even heard the things yet. Who knows, maybe they actually sound *gasp* decent. A lot of time allegedly went into them after allanyone even thinking of buying or using these, get thee to this thread. We are headphoneGAF, and we are here to help.
Don't earbuds already do this? Finally a company finds out that you are supposed to direct sound INTO the ear.
do you have a hole in your ear? if so hold the earphone, move your hand towards your ear until you feel it entering your ear. then remove your hand

From the Apple page - "The audio quality is so superior, they rival high-end headphones that cost hundreds of dollars more." pretty big talk, I don't think the audio quality would be garbage if they're willing to make that claim
I'm obviously missing something here.

These aren't anything revolutionary, but if it means I don't have to hear everyone's fucking shitty music on the train anymore then that's pretty exciting
Apple earbuds, or any earbuds made of rigid plastic, never comfortably fit in my ear.

Soft heads for life. I can fall asleep with these things in my ears.
