A surprise Cam'Rom appearance would have set this album off. Otherwise a great collection of songs outside of Cudi mumbling and moaning some shit and that John Legend power ballad duet thing.

EDIT: Broke out a new wallpaper tho. Album covers in 1080x1080 are great wallpapers imo.

Nah there isn't anything by Mannie Fresh nor by Q-Tip.
What the hell was Tip doing? He was even on that Complex cover and attending interviews about the album and everything.....

Production:

To The World (Travis Scott)
Clique (Hit-Boy)
Mercy (Lifted, Mike Dean)
New God Flow (Boogz & Tapez)
The Morning (Travis Scott)
Cold (Hit-Boy)
Higher (Hit-Boy)
Sin City (Travis Scott)
The One (Lifted)
Creepers (Dan Black)
Bliss (Hudson Mohawke)
I Don’t Like (Remix) (Young Chop)

How correct is this list? I found a tweet by HudMo himself insinuating that he produced "To The World":

This is a really good album.

Even the songs i don't really fuck with are still good songs.

It probably would have been even better if I didn't hear like 5-6 of these songs already (I liked all of the singles but Cold).

I didn't expect to like it as much based off the samples/

Not AOTY but damn good.

Hopefully there are some bonus tracks.

Off First listen 8.5-9/10

Ghostface has a new verse at the end of the album version of New God Flow. I'm listening to it right now, it's 5:57 long (not 4:54 like the previously released version and whats in all these mutt rips) Wonder if the other tracks changed at all.

Hope he can make a good living doing production. It's tough to do even if you're an established name these days.

definitely. but getting kanyes co-sign like that should be putting food on his table at least for a while

ugh now i wish i spent my high school days being productive with something instead of watching anime and eating junk food lol

the guy who uploaded new god flow is supposedly uploading the entire album tonight. Do I want to stay up and wade through tons of shitposts on KTT for this?

Um... he should get enough money off this album alone to live off for 20 years. This is a number 1 album. not a number 1 rap album.t his isn't some underground rap album either. number 1 overall.

he came through with the full itunes version.

can't do an indepth comparison but the mixing on cold definitely sounds different

i wish kanye came through with his solo this year really. it seems that'd be impossible seeing this just come out finally and how watch the throne got pushed back even worse. I think those things were due to the whole collab efforts of the albums. 808s came out so fast( i guess bring this up isn't fair though since Kanye was in a specific situation) I feel like only have 12 tracks on this album though means something. They must have made a lot more songs. This album has been in the making so long. I refuse to believe that Kanye album isn't halfway done. (but like every kanye album, 100% done means nothing. because it will get reconstructed till shipping day. which is genius)

PS. 2 chains verse in The One. hahahaha. terrible.

Does the updated version have the extended Pusha verse on the Don't Like Remix?

Nope thats a KTT special.

Also Cold just has a few more bells and whistles in the beat. Unfortunately dj pharris is still on it.

Also methinks 2 chainz was originally gonna be on Higher. And if not he shouldve been. Still a great song though.

Too many comments to read through. Loving the album so far. The Morning beat is dope

Shit this whole song is awesome. Love the group rapping, reminds me of GOOD Friday tracks

The gunshots during the Pusha and Kanye back and forth in verse 1 on NGF is something I really could have done without.

Fucking great album, got damn. I just wished there was more Cocaine 80's on this, but it's golden.

After all these years, Ghostface is still dope as hell.

Also, I'll always maintain that 2 Chainz is a goofy mother fucker, but I actually like his verse on Mercy.

well Kanye surprised me. The last thing I heard him on was Big Booty, and I thought he jumped the shark, but this album is very tight. It's was genius getting pusha t on his team. Pusha is one of the best lyricists around, and it's great to see him get such exposure, but I want a new Clipse album! Where Malice go?

Ghostface! Whoooooooooooooooooo.

Haha the final version of Cold has Khaled screaming all over the end, aintnobodygottimeforthat.gif
That's DJ Pharris, not Khaled?

Anyway the more I think about it, the more I'm disappointed that Don't Like is the closer on the album. It's one thing to do it for buzz, but it's just glorifying the Chicago situation by giving keef more exposure (and unfortunate that it has the exact opposite effect of how kanye has treated Chicago's killings in his previous songs)

Kanye didn't produce a single beat on this. Anybody else find that a little...weird?
Kanye produced pretty much every track.

There was an article a while ago about the recording process. Pretty much he, or Hit-Boy or whoever, creates a drum loop or something, and creates a skeleton of a beat then makes them rhyme over it, then gradually adds stuff to the beat around their verses, and they keep reiterating back and forth like that.

Now it's just a huge collaborative process. When your in a room with 4+ producers and and even more MCa at once, hard to give credit to everyone contributing so I guess he just throws his label mates the credit. Ye is Dre status now.
