So in this thread you tell us what your avatar is and why you picked it, be it woman, videogame character, comic book character, movie character, yourself, etc.

I realize I am a terrible candidate to start this thread as I have been here for 5 years and don't have an avatar.

So I guess I'll just say that my favorite comedy is the Big Lebowski and I wanted to use The Dude, but others have beaten me to it so I'm still deciding what to pick before I take the plunge. Perhaps your inspirations will rub off on me and give me an idea.

So, go.

That and I enjoy comic books and she's one of my favourite characters. It also suits as a good reaction to 90% of the posts on neogaf.
 
Because I'm in love with Anne Hathaway and loved her as Catwoman.

..but someone had that already so whatever.
 
A Lissar original drawing from the Real Pic Gaf RPG that was written, illustrated and soon to be on the production floor for a full on game. It was my character drawn on a tablet after a real life photo.

This is Sergio Perez, first Mexican Formula 1 driver in decades with pretty impressive results this season. This is how he's going to look like in F1 Race Stars.
 
Mine is from a funny picture of a cat that has the word acid written down at the bottom. I don't know, it was one of the only pictures that could make me laugh every single time I looked at it. I also love cats but I'm pretty allergic to them so this way I get to laugh at the picture every time I log on Gaf (without the stuffy nose).

He/she just seemed so happy.
 
Someone posted a reaction-gif of Miguel strumming his lute dramatically, I loved it so much that I turned it into an avatar. When we lost animated avatars I had to move to a static version of the same character, and since my real life friend had just gotten approved we chose complementary avatars of Miguel and Tulio. Then a couple weeks ago someone posted this photo in the Awesome Fan Art thread and we both decided to go real-life for a while
 
I got beaten in the Fight of Fighters 2013 NeoGAF PPV by FallingEdge. So I had to lose my Avatar to one of FallingEdge's choosing.
 
Zelda is my favorite game series, and after the huuuuuge 25th Anniversary fan art, I decided to swipe the Great Deku Tree. Dunno why.

My old avatars were of Meredy from Tales of Eternia, because she was (is?) my favorite Tales character, and she had bonus points for being one of those rare, dark skinned anime-styled characters. :p

I guess mine isnt too hard to figure out. I said that I wont change it until I've beaten the game and update it once I achieved some progress ingame. Takes... longer than I thought.
 
Was a big GNR fan as a kid. But seeing Axl's face staring a slim fast or double quarter pounder is too good to not have as an avatar.
