*Nervous laughter*

I fucking love bish - even though I'm sure he's banned me in the past, he's badass.
I like how he's stickied these threads like some kind of public stocks...

I think you are OKay.
You managed to time the post perfectly.....now thats worth noting.

Only if Bish lives in your timezone... and it's PM not AM! I failed.

I wonder if he screens for people worth being banned in both threads.
BANNED²

Didn't actually know about the Egypt-white/black-skin thread but had to laugh when I saw it's also up there AND bish having the last post. Even w/o reading I can already imagine some of the posts.

The Egypt thread was plain odd from the OP onwards, then got increasingly odd with each page.

What is a creepshot though? And should I have a look.

Why would they even try that? lol wow.

If my memory serves correctly, it was a capture from the weird ass circ du soleil interpretive dance kinect reveal show, in which nobody ever pretended that any of it was real time to begin with because the whole thing was a fucking choreographed performance.

Am I the only one who doesn't understand what's going on here or what the funny is?

It's from an on-stage demo of a Kinect game; if you watch, the in-game character steps to the side before the player does, clearly indicating that the footage on-screen is not actual gameplay but is instead pre-recorded footage that someone is pretending to play. It implies that the technology does not work. There was a lot of that during the last two E3s. They do that because all of the interference from cell-phones, it being a large room, etc. probably throws the damn thing off. That was the problem with the Skyward Sword show Nintendo did too.

Sony just puts a big ass disclaimer about on-stage performance not representing actual gameplay so nobody expects their Move crap to work anyways (the Harry Potter storybook thing at last E3 was painful to watch).

Nintendo just has Miyamoto come out and try really hard while the audience watches the raging demon inside him slowly gather strength for an off-stage explosion.

Edit: Beaten harder than that Friends Forever crap.

Because it was part of the performance. It's a video from the weird Kinect Party with Cirque du Soleil that took place a day before Microsoft's conference in 2010. No one even tried to suggest that the gameplay footage is in real-time and the guy in front of the monitor was controlling the character; it was obvious that what's happening on the monitor was prerecorded, because it was instantly switching between gameplay fragments from few Kinect games.

I just don't get why game companies think we want that. Why don't they stick to showing off what they do well instead of trying to do huge fantastical performances that have nothing to do with anything?
