Anyway how import friendly was the game on 3DS?
I know it'll have a bit of dialog to it in the menus and with the story, but would that be enough that the game wouldnt be worth playing?

You should have little to no problems. You'll miss the story, but stage requirements and menus are easy enough to get a hold off. I played through both games with no issues. If you buy the game and get stuck with something, feel free to PM me

Outside of the transformation sequences and model viewer, it was used very little in the game really. The actual gameplay itself is all 2D.

When you say the gameplay is 2D, you mean no 3D at all, like if the 3D slider were in the off position, right? Were your eyes comfortable with the game quickly switching from 2D gameplay to 3D transformation sequences and then back to 2D?

No 3D during gameplay isn't a deal breaker, but I was looking forward playing a beat'em up with z-axis movement (like streets of rage or simpsons arcade) in 3D

Well...the closest I've seen out of the genre is Arabian Fight. Still 2D but Sega had some neat ideas for giving it a 3D effect.

It will work perfectly. You can download any patches/updates as well. You just won't be able to buy dlc for the game if there is any.

I think I'll be fine with this. The original looked so goofy and fun, but I don't have a 3DS and I really dislike region locking.

So is this a brawler like the 3DS games just on a 3D field? Or is it a smash bros type of game? I hope it's just a musuo type game, that LE looks sweet the price tag is up there especially with this and Muramasa coming within a month of each other it's a little expensive. The first quarter of next year is shaping up to be something spectacular can't wait.

Yup, that's it. The 3D in the transformation bits is a little intense when the slider is all the way up, but it only lasts a few seconds and I had no problems with comfort, aside from it looking a little messy.

I know what you mean about Z-axis stuff - it worked really nicely in Code of Princess with the 3D on.

It isn´t a port. It´s a completely new spinoff. The other two games were more like 2,5D sidescrolling brawlers.
