So glad ingot those baby variants, hope Skottie does more but Liefeld style and proportions. And Rob said we are getting a new worlds finest book this weekend.

To make the ASM 700 thing more interesting, anyone want to do a two-month avatar bet based on whether Superior Spider-Man is Parker or not?

I'm saying Parker stays, but am prepared to eat crow if I'm wrong.

OMG Batman was creepy as fuck. Also, I wouldn't doubt if Spike's prediction is true.

So this will be a Jim and Bats story? Since both of their families are intertwine with the Joker?

dem fail spoilers

Not gonna call it till we see it, he said it would be something never done before and replacing Peter has been done more than once.

Also:
Amazing Spider-Man editor Stephen Wacker has been teasing publicly that it might be time for a new Spidey who isn't Peter Parker, Slott says, but the writer remains cryptic about who exactly will be under the mask.

"You've got to ask yourself, what does 'Superior Spider-Man' mean? Does this mean a Spider-Man with a greater power set? Or maybe he's moving to Michigan. Just set up shop next to Lake Superior," the writer quips.

Maybe this Superior Spider Man has something to do with the cliffhanger at the end of the Spider Men mini?

BIG SPOILERS!

Peter (not the reader) finds out who Miles Morales is in 616 universe

That left me really curious.

I want to say that Bendis would probably be heavily involved in the sequel to that.

IDIE OKONKWO IS A TRIFLIN ASS HO!

Jason Aaron now on my shit list. Twice, in first AND second place.

It might be. Those secoondary mutations don't seem like something pete would magically gain. But I will be pissed if this is the outcome.

On the other hand, Slott has said that we'd be getting a new writer on the book, Dan Slott, but darker. So it's entirely possible he's fucking with us. Oh well. Still have 5 more issues of the Amazing, Spectacular, Sensational, Avenging Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man...

When was the last time the Joker was the center of a story?

I don't know about stories centered around him, but he's been pretty prevalent through Morrison's run. And then of and on before then.

Not that those were bad versions or anything, I was just really impressed by this issue.

People worried about the WatXM cliffhanger need look no further than the next issue's cover for their answer.

I'm guessing that is Broo's brain that Beast is performing micro-surgery on, and since he shows up on a future cover the operation achieved some measure of success in saving his life. The leash thing on #25's cover does give pause but he may still be in recovery or is having trouble controlling his brood-like urges.

Snyder and Capullo's run on Batman has been the stuff legends are made from so far and it just seems to get better.

Exactly!

Hyperbole aside, it was pretty great. I was afraid that Joker's new face wouldn't live up to the hype, but it has (for me personally.)

Also loved they pulled everyone in the Batfamily into things even if it was just a bunch of cameos. Joker in the precinct creeped me the hell out. :o But I was reading in a blacked-out room with TDK Rises music in the background. Him going after Barbara and Jim is an interesting and not totally unexpected twist, but I felt really scared for Gordon. Especially after him in the elevator... "Can you tell?"

Batman being a dunce is the only downside of the issue. Seriously, he couldn't avoid a giant hammer? Plus he did the shonen dumbass thing of "no one else take him, he's mine!" *proceeds to endanger tons of lives because of selfish pride*

Will be interesting to see how Damian's arrogance plays into things, he hasn't really been knocked down a peg, then again he did beat Joker to a pulp last time they faced off.

Also, guess it's confirmed, Joker knows Bruce is Batman. Knock knock, Alfred!

Hopefully it's Idie's brain to cure her from being a total SLUTBAG!!!!

Not necessarily. Isn't Bruce still publicly the backing of Batman? Iunno what they have and haven't retconned in Nu52.
