2012 High-Res PC Screenshot Thread of Don't Use Imgur

Bit more Cliffs of Dover - Now with no SweetFX and more SLI support.

Really hate that I can't clean up the images properly without downsampling - Where's my AA *tears*

so can you be robbed at any time if you don't know what your doing... I love the scale of this game and it looks amazing and I looooove space.. but don't really wait to get in a group can you just explore the cosmos

I love how no one is posting XCOM because they are busy trying to survive. :D

More like, because it isnt a looker :) Its funny that game runs only in 60-80fps, it should be at least 200.
Oh i think, i know why, because it uses MSAA on deferred UE renderer.

Some shots

Certain games just cripple pcs unjustifiably depending on which settings you use. In the case of Sleeping Dogs, there was one setting that overshadowed them all and it was the SSAO setting, with it set to max it just ruined my shit. Play around with settings, do some tweaking and you'll get much better performance with absolutely minimal visual downgrade in most games.

Thanks, I'll look to see if I had that one on at all.

You really should! Sleeping Dogs plays at a smooth 60 for me with some dips here and there. Witcher 2 even runs at 60 at full (with no ubersample)

A 670 should carry you through the rest of this gens stuff, but I dont think it'll be strong enough to handle 1313 and UE4. If I understand it correctly, you'll be talking about 690 territory..
Perhaps TWO 670's will be able to stand it?

Yeah, I think I wanna stick with one card. This PC gaming thing is rather expensive, lol.

So I'm trying to play Saboteur for the first time, and it's been doing this: Random streaks of light running through me and the NPCs.

What could be causing that?? Anybody got any ideas?

It was known to be a very buggy game when released and aside from one patch, not much ever got fixed because the company sadly was closed either right before or right on launch. I know that the guy who did the ENBSeries mods made a "fix" DX9 DLL that you might be able to drop in the directory of Saboteur, but I don't know if it fixes your specific problem or not.

Zyrusticae, I can barely understand what's going on in those shots. I bet they would look awesome if they weren't so blurry.

And yeah, Spec Ops looks pretty badass. It's just a shame it cant look close to that by itself without having to force options :(

Is the game that blurry by default? That seems really excessive. I don't really hate on FXAA like many others do, but that just looks messy.

No, not at all. That's just a disaster. If I played with that much blur I'd have a migraine in 2 minutes flat. =/

See, I'm conflicted here. On the one hand, the shots are obviously blurry. On the other, it looks good in motion and I am very hesitant to turn it down just for screenshots since I consider temporal aliasing to be worse by far.

Perhaps I should just turn off the in-game FXAA and use driver FXAA, since that doesn't show up on screenshots...
