US PSN: Spend $100 during October, get $20 back

I was banking on DJ Max release taking me over the limit. This is all moot due to the all the hype I'm getting over ACIII I'm just going to throw down on that vita/PS3 bundle when I get home ><

A $15 game (Journey, Unfinished Swan seem to be good candidates) plus the $1 Sega game (Wonder Boy, I think).

Ah, that's an idea. I have a soft spot for Master system games.

What happens when you hit the $100? Do you get a message in your inbox, an email, a pop up on screen?

Has the Halloween sale ended?
I wanted to pick up some stuff but I can't find anything about a Halloween sale anywhere in the US store. Surely it hasn't ended before Halloween started!?

I think I'm at $100, but not sure... Can't remember if Vagrant Story and Breath of Fire 4 were this month or last month.

The lack of a web store for psn is really irritating. I never remember to consider this while my ps3 is on. Why can't I buy things from my computer or ipad?

Gah, I'm $20 away and I can't make up my mind between Dokuro and Okami HD at this point. I always prefer handheld/Vita content, but Dokuro seems like a good candidate for a PS+ discount/freebie at some point once they roll out Vita PS+. And I've never played Okami...>_<

Correct, you have until the end of the month
Ty.

Help me out here GAF!
I have $38 in my account and need to spend at least $33 to have $100 in content purchased.
ATM I am looking at the following combinations:
1- R. City Rampage ($15), Legend of Heroes: TiS ($20) OR Okami HD ($20) OR Dokuro ($20)= Total is a little under $35
2- Klonoa PSX ($6), Future Cop LAPD ($6), World Gone Sour ($5), Okami HD ($20) OR Legend of Heroes TiS ($20) OR Dokuro ($20)= Total is a little under $37

Which option should I go with? ...and while I'm at it, I wouldn't mind any recommendations for buying content worth $33. FYI that I own a Vita, so any good PSP, PSX or Vita games you recommend I will consider getting.

Keep in mind though that I bought Corpse Party for $20 when i learned it was going on sale the next day. I have been wanting to get it @ $20 to begin with to support it, but was saving it til the last week of October in favour of any sales/price drops.

Option 1: Retro City Rampage (Vita/PS3) and Okami HD.

I'm in a similar situation, need to spend at least $9 to reach $100 for the month. Tokyo Jungle, Virtue's Last Reward, some PSone classics...

I finally made the push over. Maybe ended up getting stuff I should have waited on

Tokyo Jungle $15
Rebel (PS Mobile) $2
Red Star (PSP) $5
Guilty Gear (PSP) $10 I think
Linger in Shadows (PSN) $3
Table Ice Hockey (Vita) $3? (ugh requires like 3 AR cards)
Stardrone (PS3/Vita Crossbuy) $4
Ghostbusters Sanctum of Slime $2.50
Um Jammer Lammy (PS1/PS3/PSP/Vita) $6
Ragnarok $40
Jak and Daxter: Lost Frontier (PSP) $20

Was considering

Daxter/Clank 2 pack $15
Chrono Cross $10
FF6 $10
FF3 (PSP) $20

FF9 $10
FFT $10
Darkstalkers PSP $10
Street Fighter Alpha 3 $10
Megaman Maverick Hunter $10

Ummm Sanctum of Slime isn't a good game IIRC, should've gone with maybe World gone sour for $5 or any of the games in ur 2nd list.

So this was a pretty good month for me, and a good month for ps1 classics on my end.

To reach my 100 i purchased

Tokyo jungle $15
Alundra $5.99
Wild arms $5.99
Breath of fire 4 $5.99
Xeno gears $9.99
Legend of mana $5.99
Blood Omen: legacy of Kain $5.99
Grandia $5.99
Suikoden $5.99
Abes odessy $9.99
Abes Exodus $9.99
Legend of Dragoon $5.99
Odin sphere $9.99
Sound shapes $15
various pieces of lbp2 dlc
And i renewed my plus membership.

So with that i should have well over the amount, and now i just need to decide what to purchase with my $20 back. Right now im debating on either getting Okami HD, Final Fantasy VII+ Chrono Trigger, or holding onto it for some upcoming vita games i want like kickbeat.

Man if Sony and third parties were smart enough to release their back catalogs of ps1 games and ps2 games they could make alot of money off of me. I would easily pay for digital copies of Star ocean, Saga frontier 2, all the suikoden games and Radiata stories to name a few.

Why do PSX games cost so much anyway? They should be 4.99 yeesh >_>;

OK here's another option I thought up, as I've read that Okami HD has a few visual problems, but they don't deter from the game's overall quality:
3- [Klonoa PSX, Future Cop LAPD, Suikoden 1 ($18 total)]+ [R. City Rampage $15] OR [World gone sour+P3 FES ($15 total)]= $33

Might get Legend of Heroes and Dokuro at a later time though, maybe next month along with the ToeJam and Earl release.

So I need to spend $60 more later when I get back home to reach $100. I'm getting One Piece: Pirate Warriors ($29.99) and also thinking of getting

Sound Shapes ($14.99) & Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath HD ($14.99)

But I have feeling that Sound Shapes might be apart of the PSVita PlayStation Plus and Stranger's Wrath HD might be apart of the Fall/Winter psn sale in November. What do you guys think?. My option B combo is Okami HD and Persona 3:Fes, I might just go with that just to play it safe. Don't wanna get burn and find it's on sale or free later.

Well I hit about 65 with impulse Ragnarok buy, here is my list.

Retro City Rampage -15
MtG old duels dlc -5
Walking Dead Ep4 -5
Rag Odyssey -40
Rev of Shinobi -1
Unchained Blades -30
Breath of Fire IV -6

Stranger's Wrath is worth it for $15, altho it's much shorter than Okami.
If you wanna look at as Price=Time spent playing, I'd say go for Okami, as I think it's what 4-6 times longer than SW or so.
FYI, that most impressions on Okami HD seem that the visuals are indeed very good and has a stable frame rate, but their is a little tearing. ...but if those don't bother you much, you'll still enjoy the game.
SW on the other hand is 60 FPS and I have not noticed any tearing or the like, it's a very well done remake/HD port.

If you've played 999, VLR is the no brainer. If you haven't, which PSone classics are you considering?
I haven't played 999, but I'm pretty confident that I'd enjoy VLR anyway. I was thinking of RE3 and Dino Crisis or Alundra. Though I reckon I'm more likely to play an actual Vita game. What I really wanted to round out the month was Jet Set Radio. Monkey Ball is another option, but I'm skeptical that it'll live up to my memories of the original Gamecube game.

Yeah, maybe I'll hold off on Stranger's Wrath. Okami HD is starting to look real nice with some good impressions all around with a few minor negatives
and that you mentioned it'll be 4-6 times longer then SW, I think I'll go with option B. I just won't start Persona 3:FES until most of my backlog is cleared. hah. Here's hoping Stranger''s Wrath goes on sale soon.

I'm pretty sure it was on sale some months ago on US PSN.
I personally got it Day 1 off EU PSN and really enjoyed it.

This one was easy. NFS Most Wanted + Assassin's Creed 3 + Joe Danger 2 did the trick. Now I've already started to thing of what I'll buy with the $20. Too many options. #FirstWorldProblems

Made it in time

PS+ (1 year): 49.99
Rayman Origins (PS3): 19.99
Final Fantasy III (PSP): 19.99
Sunflowers (Vita): 3.99
Aqua Kitty (Vita): 3.49
Mutant Blobs Attack (Vita): 3.79

TOTAL 101.24

^Heh I'm hoping they release a Rayman Origins bundle for PSN: PS3+Vita for something like $30. I'd def. get it at that price XP

Oh and I'd like some more suggestions on which option I should take, here they are again-
1- R. City Rampage ($15), Legend of Heroes: TiS ($20) OR Okami HD ($20) OR Dokuro ($20)= Total is a little under $35

2- Klonoa PSX ($6), Future Cop LAPD ($6), Suikoden ($6), R. City Rampare ($15) OR World Gone Sour ($5), Okami HD ($20) OR Legend of Heroes TiS ($20) OR Dokuro ($20)= Total is a little under $37

I wonder what time zone the purchases are keyed on...won't be back home tonight until 8pm MST, will have to make them quick or else it won't count.

The tricky part for me is that I still have about $65 to spend.

So far I've only purchased Tokyo Jungle, Plants vs Zombies, Mutant Blob, and the House of the Dead bundle. I'm kind of annoyed I missed the end of the Halloween sale as I'd have probably nabbed Dead Rising 2: Off the Record.

So for that $65 I'm thinking Okami, Sound Shapes, and either RC Rampage and something else or just Smart As.

I'd like to play Journey at some point too but having already waited this long I'm probably best off to wait for a price drop on the retail version or a discount on the PSN one.

The disk version will be 50% off this week at Gamestop. There's a thread. :)

I didn't buy any Vita or PSP stuff since PS+ for vita is going to start in november and I'm willing to see what will be the initial batch of free or discounted games (except for Mutant Blobs which was already discounted). :P I got one year of PS+ along with a couple of PSOne classics + DLC.
  • PS+ (1 year): $49.99
  • DLC Iori (KOF XIII): $2.44
  • DLC Mr. Karate (KOF XIII): $2.44
  • DLC Kyo (KOF XIII): $2.44
  • Chrono Cross: $9.99
  • Metal Gear solid: $9.99
  • Resident Evil 2: $5.99
  • Vagrant story: $5.99
  • DLC Dark Souls: $14.99
  • Mutant Blobs Attack: $3.79

For a total of: $108.05

I don't expect the vita PS+ to be even remotely as good as some people imagine it to be because it already has very little software on it already. If anything they will be releasing psp titles on PS+ and I will be happy to play them on my vita (though mem space will be cramped after I DL crossbuy PSASBR).

Anyways I reached the $100 quota and then some.

PS+
Tokyo Jungle
WipEout HD Fury DLC for the vita
Stardust Delta bundle
Okami HD

Got to $109.95, all purchases are great too, really wanted all of them except Okami HD (which was a maybe since I never played it before).

Might use the $20 down on One Piece or save it for R&C:FFA Cross buy. Or might just save it for some game in the future.

Need to spend $18 to complete my $100 purchases, what should I get GAF?
I decided to get R. City Rampage either way, but now my options are:
3 PSX Games (Klona+Suikoden+Future Cop LAPD or Alundra 1) and/or PC Engine games, Dokuro, Legend of Heroes TiS or Okami HD. I'll be making my final purchase in an hour, help me out here GAF XO

Bump ^_^;
Seriously torn here, as much as I wanna get Okami, I'd end up with around $3 (So $23 when I get the code by November)
On the other hand I could get 3 PSX games for $17.97 saving up a few dollars. (I'd be left with something like $25 by November after the code)

You should get Okami and TiTS.

I Just remembered there was some Valkyria Chronicles DLC that I wanted but didn't have yet. Bought both the Edy packs.

I'm pretty sure I should be over the $100 now, but there are two DLC purchases I made for Test Yourself that don't show up on my record of transactions. Weird.

That being the case, I have $10.10 left, and according to my math I need to spend $2.12 to hit $100.

Are there any really good minis? Some of the old SNK ones look kind of fun.

atm i can only get one of the two.

Flip a coin. They are both great bang for your buck games. Either way you'll be busy with many, many hours of enjoyment. I guess the question is whether you'dd prefer to spend those hours looking at your TV or a portable.

Edit: Oops, guess I'm too late. I know nothing about minis, sorry.
