I know man, me too. I've been enjoying Halo 4 again these past two nights, but that's only because I'm coming to terms with what Halo 4 is...

They actually had this feature through Reach, used to use it all the time in objective gamemodes.

You'd figure it wouldn't be this complicated. Patching the hole might take a little work, but taking a map out of rotation for the time being seems like it wouldn't take more than five minutes.

It's good, but there's so many things that are missing/need to be cut that I don't think it'll ever be the game it can be.
 
Just take out join in progress... Ugh. I like winning, and I'd rather quit than play a 2v4 HOPING that the magical JiP works.

Just played CTF on Adrift, where myself and the three other players in my party where put into a JiP game against a full team of five, and we were down 2-0 with the winning team flagnum whoring at our spawn.

The match went on to remain a 4v5 because no one ever joined our game, something that we were relying on to somehow get back into this game. We lost 5-3, and I really feel that fifth random would've been some sort of help. Either JiP needs to work flawlessly or it needs to be taken out completely (however bs angel confirmed that there are no plans to remove JiP).

The CTF changes are meant to increase the pace of play.

Your complaints don't even register as possible.

Yep, but the stuff that would need to be tweaked is essentially the stuff that is new and 343 is so proud of, I don't think we will see it be edited :(

A friend of mine and I forged a map today, a small map, perfect for team doubles I think (maybe 4vs4, but I think it is too small) and we altered weapon spawns and everything to old Halo standards.

We did some 1v1s and it was the most fun I had with Halo 4, it also really helped that we didn't played infinity slayer.

If we just could get rid of instant respawns.. but we aren't even able to turn them off in custom games.

You can also tell by the map releases for Halo 4. Get all that out before the next generation xbox drops.

Classic, I did the same thing mate in flag & bomb, especially Zanzibar & Burial Mounds.

It was 2 v 4 for the first half of the match and people kept quitting out then my team filled up and we kicked ass.

If not for JIP it would have been an unfun ass kicking, instead, my team won.
 
Does anybody in HaloGAF have a working time machine? I want to go back to the Halo 2 days. Anybody else up for the journey? lol

Not that I don't like Halo 4, it's just that nostalgia is getting to me really bad right now :(

Well hopefully that's more just finally getting Halo a proper DLC release schedule, which it has somehow never had to this point despite being one of the biggest games around.

There are 2 specialisations I really want to get into though. The EXP one and the stealth sound one.

CTF is a real mixed bag going solo
Fuck randoms and Aussie latency
, far better with regular teammates...of course.
 
I've asked about a billion times in this thread to no answer but.. can somebody explain how the Pioneer specialization works?

Does it give you bonus XP whenever you wear the armor or just whenever you wear the armor with your next specialization only? If the former, what reason is there to go for something else the first time around?
