Pegg also confirmed it on his Twitter. Apparently this teaser is an online exclusive and the trailer attached with all Hobbit screenings will be a 2+ minute trailer.

Trailer comes online at 3AM EST. That's some bullshit. And it's just a teaser for a trailer, which will actually be out 12/17.
How many hours away is that for those of us living on different EST.

Vengeance sounds much more badass than Into Darkness, but I think that's why I like Into Darkness so much more. It's not really an average title.

Ha ha, I assume the designer saw the first TDKR posters.
EDIT: Beaten kinda.

2 and a half. I'm going to sleep!
Do you think we'll ever get another Star Trek TV series?
The first thing I think of when I see the busted up building in that poster is "that wreckage looks alot like the design of a Borg cube."
Obviously, it's not, but I wouldn't mind if we get bad-ass, non-queen-led Borg in Kirk's time period in a darker film in this universe.
Still, by this point didn't we pretty much know the entirety of the first film's plot? Seems like this one has been kept under wraps pretty damn well - could be a good or bad thing.
I'll say one thing though, there's always hype around the Star Trek villains (even when the TNG movies came out) and they hardly ever deliver in any meaningful or satisfying way just because the entire "good guy" cast is so large. It would be nice if they'd go back to something more like the ST:TMP or even ST4:Voyage Home, where there wasn't necessarily a central villain character, but a large insurmountable mystery and/or problem that had to be solved that wasn't necessarily some maniacal villain running amok.
I wanted to like J.J. Abrams' Trek, but I couldn't get into it. I don't know, it didn't really do anything for me, and I wouldn't place it as one of my favorite Trek movies in the series. It felt more like a Star Wars inspired adventure movie with thinly layered science fiction elements that took a back seat to the action set pieces. I didn't care for the villain, and the plot had too many "destined to be together by fate" moments in it. I didn't hate it either, but I hope that I enjoy Abrams' second Trek outing more than his first one.
Just saw the teaser footage on TV. Looks good. Lots of shit exploding.
On TV try called him a "one man weapon" so I guess that confirms its Mitchell?
Barely feels like Star Trek. There was a quick shot of the Enterprise, no space, looks like it's mostly set on Earth.
