And yet all you guys come here to this thread to voice your negative opinion over and over and over and over..............

Yes, it was that upsetting to some. Love and hate can be such similar emotions.

It's not hard to see. I feel it's a fair ground. There'd be no discussion and it'd be more boring if it was just people loving it. Besides, most here didn't hate it. Some of us were just disappointed.

Bruce graduated properly from League of Shadows, but Bane was excombobulated (D:). How is it that Bane is the better and quicker fighter?

Bruce already knew how to kick ass before he ever met the LoS (see the prison scene in Begins). It's fairly safe to assume that like him, Bane learned a lot of fighting techniques in his travels outside if the League.

Bane is better and quicker because he was born into darkness, Bruce merely adopted the dark.

How anyone could be disappointed with a movie as grand compelling and heart felt as this is beyond me.
It was an emotional roller coaster.

tell me about it, one of my local indie cinemas has actually changed its name to "nolan house" and it has always at least one screen dedicated to showing nolan films at all times. last night they showed insomnia and it was fully sold out, when the film ended i could hear people talking about how well thought out the plot twists were and how well acted it was with robin williams.

Post of the forever

I have a suspicion that TDKR will be nominated for 17 Oscars and win at least 16 of them

Whats this audio option 2 you speak of?
Audio option 1 is DTS-HD MA: English 5.1
Audio option 2 is Dolby Digital: English 2.0...basically more subdued. The sfx and music are a bit muted with this but it helps overall in my opinion because I hated the volume of bane's voice.

So you're watching the compressed audio instead of the lossless HD audio, that's why. A lower dynamic range, which means all the audio will be closer to the same volume.

Same. Watched it for the 1st time last night. I was a bit tired, but still, it didn't grip me much at all. Everything felt kind of contrived compared to the 1st two, Anne Hathaway, while hot, doesn't seem to be a very good Catwoman, and I wasn't feeling Bane much, either.

Definitely lacks the spark of Begins and TDK, but I'm going to watch it again today while I can, just to give it a 2nd chance.

After rewatching, I enjoyed it more. Turning on subtitles helped.

Still dont like Bane very much. Each time he talks, I'm reminded of Goldfinger from Austin Powers.

Just saw that Amazon delivered my copy today!

Can't wait till I get home and watch this!

Then next week when my brother is home from school we will do the trilogy marathon.

Is there a french audio option? I wanna watch it in French with subtitles cause Bane's French voice is menacing!

So Alfred was right about his speed & ferocity.

That was like a scene out of Rocky when he was analyzing the Bane footage haha.

Huge missed opportunity from Nolan and company not extending that training montage. We just see Bruce do situps and pushups for like 5 seconds.

I saw this for the first time yesterday and although I enjoyed it a lot, I did notice a number of plot inconsistencies (Miranda doesn't seem to make any sense at all) and funny lines ('I came back to stop you'...nice comeback bro) that drag it below the first two.

I liked Bane more than I thought I would and didn't find him particularly hard to understand. He had this humbleness and honesty at the end that I liked.

Edit : Oh and Catwoman was fine. If they brought her back for later DC installments I wouldn't complain (Although, I guess that since WB is rumored to use continuity, they won't be? Unless she left Bruce?)

I want to see Bruce training punching bats.
no, i'm angry. conquer your fear!!

The biggest missed opportunity is still Bruce not returning to Gotham in his Begins suit as a last resort after having his armory and suits stolen/destroyed.

When watching the film and seeing the crowd of cops slowly advancing toward Bane's army, I kept imagining Bane seeing something in the sky beyond them - a shadow passing over the group of cops which forces them all to Spielberg Look™ above them. Then Batman - Begins suit Batman, that primal - scary motherfucker reborn, lands in front of Bane and that is what rallies the cops to charge before Bruce rips Bane apart.

Begins Bruce would make mince meat out of Bane.

Alfred: I'll get this to Mr. Fox, but no more. I've sewn you up, I've set your bones, but I won't bury you. I've buried enough members of the Wayne family.

Bruce Wayne: You'll leave me?

Alfred: You see only one end to your journey. Leaving is all I have to make you understand, you're not Batman anymore. You have to find another way. You used to talk about finishing a life beyond that awful cape.
