Yeah those moments were great, but the most epic scene goes to the speech of Doctor Fate. "And when you show yourself to the world......"

The Human Pyramid > Man of Steel
Am I doing it right?
So is Clark's dad a sociopath in this film or...?
If we were filmmakers I would be John Ford and you would be Uwe Boll.
Edit: God damn that was low. Sorry Tober.
Shut it, Ham!
PS am I crazy, or does your ass keep flipping directions?

SOMEBODY SAAAAAAAAAAAAAAVE MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE...
Haha, I just saw this. No worries, dude.
Critically speaking, though, I'm not sure that was the best rebuttal. I'm fairly certain Ford and Boll weren't rivals. Boll was 8 years old when Ford died.![]()
You can't control it. The glorious gluteus maximus does what it wants when it wants.

Maybe Ford's death was the catalyst for Boll's slide into mediocrity/detestable film making (delete as deemed necessary)
maybe.
How about maybe saving them?I mean, when you think about it, is there anything more noble than saving a bus full of children?

Oh god, it's turning into a meme.
Made that myself. You like, yes?
Where you see an asshole, I see someone that deeply cares about the well being of his son. :<

LOL
Snyder > Nolan
Hahaha. He's only made one great movie in his career.
What does Clark say at the very beginning of the trailer?

I don't see whats wrong with not wanting you're son to get dissected because he's an alien.
His favorite Superman story lines and the ones he used for inspiration are "Death Of Superman", "Return Of Superman", "Superman: Red Son" and "Earth-One". He is also a big fan of Grant Morrison's "New 52" work.
"Brave Man makes parents proud by refusing to save innocent civilians. 'He just stood there and watched... it was really something!', says one citizen."
The world's too big mom.
The world's too big.
The trailer's quite subdued. Not saying that's a bad thing, just unexpected, and I have to wonder how much of Synder's influence will be left on a movie with the kind of production heavyweights behind the film.
I dunno, this Star Trek (2009) trailer pretty much set the absolute high bar for me in terms of trailer-ness. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ETDE0VGJY4
I'm guessing you're not a parent.
If you're son can lift a bus, his physically safety shouldn't be one of your first priorities.
So you're not a parent? His physical safety isn't the problem here, it's Pa Kent afraid of losing his son to scientists who see Clark as nothing more than a science experiment, which makes the science fair photo all that more poignant.

I really dig the trailer. The 'maybe' line especially. You look at Pa Kent's body language, and you see he is wrestling with the question. There is a conflict between his head and his heart.
As a parent myself, I know if when my son grew up he told me he wanted to join the army and fight in Afghanistan, i'd have mixed emotions. Pride in him wanting to help others, and fear and worry about him putting himself in danger.
And him saving those kids on the bus isn't a simple moral choice. He revealed himself to those kids he saved, he put his family and himself at risk. So to me, "maybe" is a totally believable response. Usually the parent figures in these stories are just there to dispense some mantra that the character lives by. At least showing the doubt and conflict that Pa has makes him a more believable and relatable character.

Looks pretty good. The shot from behind the back and low to the ground with the cape billowing looks amazing. I'm hopeful this won't be as hollow as Snyder's other films.
