School Shooting at Elementary School in Connecticut [27+ dead including 20+ children]

I cannot wrap my head around murder of any sort, but looking at an innocent child and ending their life is a whole other level of serious fucked up. So sad for everyone involved.

You really think if we had NO guns this wouldnt happen still in a different form? So again someone said an automatic weapon was used...yeah thats not even legal so just proved my point...its people.
Not trying to take away from the situation, its horrible, it was horrible in 1999 at Columbine. But it gets old blaming guns, or musicians, I bet youre going to get all defensive when they blame video games within the next day. Anyone who actually goes through with shooting up an ELEMENTARY school has a problem

This jumped from a horrible story with a shooter dead to one of the worst shootings in this countries history. This so horrible.
 
I thought it wasn't going to be bad. They said the shooter was dead and no other fatalities. I hope this double digit thing is not true. Good lord that would be devastating.
 
I won't get hung up on numbers just yet, we still have 15 minutes to go before the scheduled conference where we will hopefully get an actual number from the police and not conflicting news reports. But this is a truly sad event, and I am hoping for the best possible outcome during this tragedy.

6 years ago my acting troupe was involved in a school shooting drill instructional video, it was supposed to teach kids the best ways to approach situations, but it was aimed at middle/high schoolers. Elementary schoolers? What the fuck. At the time many of us didn't know how useful a video like it would be, but the world has progressed in going to shit so maybe it has its place after all.

My heart out to the families and friends, and to all of ParentGAF who have to worry about shit like this happening.
 
It takes a special type of Human Garbage to shoot up an elementary school...

Even if you ban rape you can easily go out in the street and assault the first person you meet; we better legalize rape since it clearly does nothing to stop rapists.

We "kind" of do that in "some" states, but the process is still full of holes and is easily exploitable by design, and any attempts to tighten it up are rebuffed. That's the problem.

But you are totally right! If only the US allowed children to conceal and carry, this incident could've been avoided.
 
Fuck I had soccer matches in Newtown. What a tragedy.

My sister is in an Elementary School in CT now. Going back home on Saturday and giving her the biggest hug ever.
 
This shouldn't just spark conversation on gun laws but the culture of fear in this country and mental health. We definitely need more gun control but this is indicative of another issue as well.
 
If the shooter came in through a side door, I guess they're gonna start locking that stuff down.

At one school I sub at all the time, I have never once used the front door; I always use the side door (like the other teachers). Before the first bell, it's always unlocked.

What the fuck? Good thing China does know how to deal with this, and the assailant will be hanging from a tree within the week.
 
Even if you wake up and say "I am going to kill those kids today" there must be an even bigger mental hurdle when you actually have them in front of you.

I have a little nephew, he is 12 now. When he was 10, he was just this little guy. I was sometimes scared to like, hurt him, if I played too physical with him.
But looking at such a kid, lifting a gun and pulling the trigger? Holy shit, I think you'd have to pump me so full of drugs that my entire soul is eradicated for me to even think about doing that.
