If yall think SAO is ruining anime or represents everything wrong with it, fine. But to go and think SK isn't anything worse than it is just blind mediocrity. The show comes off as blind stupid ecchi which I don't enjoy.

Well the first game ended on a very high note where the walk of the titan walking over her ennemies as if they were ants was only halted thanks to a considerable amount of teamwork and sacrifices.

Your show has a character who is appealing as a block of fucking wood. There may be some us here who happen to dislike/hate/despise said character and the pack of floozies that want his 2 years worth of seed. Different strokes for different folks. Deal with it.

So, it seems that Anime News Network will be undergoing a redesign soon. Fresh from Christophe Macdonald, here's a look at their current mockup.
I think I'd sorta be like this, in a "Uh, what the hell are you doing? And what the hell are you doing?" way. The whole thing would be so bizarre that I don't think I'd really be able to enjoy it. I'd think I was having some fucked up dream or acid trip or something.

The seriousness SAO presents itself, paired with its staggering amount of misogyny make it really dangerous.
I haven't seen SK yet, but I don't see how would be the case. People accept that SK is a guilty pleasure at best.

Seriously? So because SK is overtly and explicitly portraying what's wrong with anime while SAO tries to take itself seriously but in reality is the virtually the same as SK, we just let SK do whatever the fuck it wants. Ugh. I don't like that mentality.
Either, we view the same and both are bad or there are clear and definite lines that make both shows distinct.
yeah, joking aside, trying to compare how the shows treat women is pretty much splitting hairs. Both bad, only different kinds of bad.
I can respect a show that's unambitious but actually does what it's supposed to do competently, I guess even for dumb titty shows that are the epitome of unambitious and safe. I have no interest in Senran Kagura but neither do I fear it; it's no more injurious to the current state of anime than another season of Ikkitousen would be. I can understand why people are more apprehensive toward works that have more potential to be influential in bad ways even if they're perhaps less reprehensible in some ways than other works.

Essentially. I expected nothing of SK that involves my brain, and will continue not to. Brain off, boob bounce, enjoy. That's all I want from SK. SAO on the other hand I was hoping might be a decent show. Alas.

The inconsistent, sometimes incoherent plot didn't help it, that's for sure.
Michael Moore's work is bad (if people are watching it for information instead of Michael Moore's humor). It comes across as intelligent, but it isn't.
Snakes on a Plane is dumb. It has no pretenses about being anything other than that.
You're probably right that both are bad, but I just can't hate SK.
But he wants all of us to hate it. It's only fair, y'know?

Senran Kagura is self-aware of what it's presenting, while SAO's misogynistic themes hide behind the veil of an Anime trying to exhibit itself as a work with actual plot, characters, and writing. There is a distinction in how these two shows are meant to be perceived.
