2. What kind of sleeves to tournament players use that allows them to shuffle so easily? The ones I have are impossible to quickly shuffle as they either stick together or have the corners bend.

They tend to buy new sleeves at the event to prevent stickiness, bent corners, or markings.

TheApatheticOne.. sent you a PM!

I like that RG Bloodrush creature. Question regarding Bloodrush. Does it work at instant speed like say a Giant growth? Does it trigger wild defiance?

The five color one DOTP deck is hilarious, but kind of awkward without dual lands. It does seem like it has enough sweepers to maybe survive the non nut draws of the aggressive decks. And I like that it has a lot of cards that are pretty complicated compared to the average DOTP card. Seems fun to play certainly.

Yeah, it is instant speed since otherwise there'd be no way to target an attacking creature. It would not trigger Wild Defiance since that specifies Instant or Sorcery.

Hmm.. damn.. i want to make a G/R wandering wolf with Wild defiance fun, hexproofing/wild growths/fling fun. I still will.. just want to see how it would work.

Couple questions for you folks:

1. Do gaffers do any trading on here?
2. What kind of sleeves to tournament players use that allows them to shuffle so easily? The ones I have are impossible to quickly shuffle as they either stick together or have the corners bend.

Either Ultra Pro or Dragon Shields would be the way to go. Some stores carry larger Japanese matte sleeves that can be good as well. Three bits of general advice for anyone looking to buy sleeves...

1. Most sleeves will deteriorate eventually anyway. Tournament players replace their sleeves fairly regularly.
2. Avoid sleeves with artwork on the back. They tend to break down quicker.
3. Make sure you're not buying Yugioh sleeves by mistake. They're sized smaller. Just look on the package and make sure they're Standard-sized.

Set is weak. Hope the remaining charms are good at least.

God, they can't even make a dumb Timmy green mythic correctly for this set. Everything about this set just seems flat. I really hope limited works out, because I can't see standard changing at all with the release of this set, and i'm already tired of this format.

I really think this "2 big expansion" thing they have done the last 2 years is really not working out- you end up with one of the most unfun limited formats ever (Avacyn), and an underwhelming standard set.

Actually, that mythic is quite good. If even a single point of trample damage gets through, you get another one, even if it died. It fails the "dies to removal" test, but if you can untap with it and attack, it's over. It seems mythic by necessity for Limited though, rather than mythic by "feel."

Yeah he seems fun. I've won many games on the back of giant stompy green creatures (most recently Craterhoof Behemoth). Could be fun to play with in a ramp deck.

He also lines up nicely with Bloodrush and Wolf Run, especially in ramp.

A Naya deck that uses him and the angel that makes two combat phases?

Haha the Timmy side of me is creaming

Instant Blaze + Silence + Creature Tapping for one additional white mana.

Times have changed.

7 mana swords to plowshares, lol why not.

This is the first card they've spoiled that I suspect will be worth a lot and stay that way.

Few I haven't seen posted in here:

Ground Assault - Sorcery
~ Deals damage to target creature equal to the number of lands you control.

Hexproof is just so awkward on a keyrune, it doesn't make sense!

Reach on a 1/4 body would've been a lot better.

An interesting bit of rules minutia is that if you cipher onto a keyrune in creature form it retains the ciphered spell when it transforms back so I supposed the simic keyrune would be a real bastard to deal with in that situation barring artifact removal of course.

Are you sure that's real, cause it looks better than the fake Simic one.

EDIT: Ah it's official.

Boros Charm looks pretty sick.

Skarrg Guildmage might be constructed worthy given that it can produce a hasty 4/4 on turn 3, which is nothing to sneer at.

Five-Alarm Fire looks hillarious, but I doubt it'll see a lot of play. Will probably throw one in my Krenko EDH deck at least.

Five-Alarm fire is good for swarms too. Its just combat damage and the enchantment doesnt go away. So if you attack with 5 creatures, thats 5 counters right there. Creatures die or not, thats still 5 damage. Bonus if anything goes through. Used in combo with Aurelias fury face its pretty much over. Along with the Boros charm, this could be some very very quick games.

Just realized that you also get counters when you block.

I really like that Guildmage actually. I haven't played R/G since my Hydra deck back in the Alara/Zendikar standard and he's reminding me of the brutal possibilities R/G offers.
