Score! So afer all the trouble i went through with these guys back in June, i just noticed they shipped me a extra Wizards Box. They sent me a email saying that it was there mistake, and to just go ahead and keep it. Crazy! :-D

Honestly, you should sell it to someone here for normal price (with shipping as well, of course).

I know I would do so if I was in your shoes. I feel so bad for the people being screwed here.

Go to UPS-> Tracking->Track by Reference, use your order number as a reference number. If it says you have a label printed, you're probably going to be okay. Calling right now won't do anything for you--their call center is outsourced to another company, the front line rep will give you the boilerplate answer of your order is processing in about 90% of the cases.

But when I do this, it says there is no package for that number and I ordered in August

I'm actually more annoyed with Namco than I am DR. This is Namco's problem. DR represents them and ultimately the buck stops with Namco.

While this has still been a disaster, it does improve my view of Digital River slightly. I am still unhappy about the lack of updates and the cancellations though. That is really poor service.

Any reason to believe this won't be for all Canadian orders? I can't call now as I'm at work but I could try later unless there's no point.
I need to know this too, as I only paid for like, $4 shipping when the WE was first made available to Canada and didn't care that it was most likely wrong, as long as I got my pre-order in XD

I just checked the UPS site with the ordere/reference# and got this:

A UPS shipping label has been created. Once the shipment arrives at our facility, the tracking status--including the scheduled delivery date--will be updated.

I normally avoid Digital River, I remember why now.

Standard UPS shipping of $10. Will this fee be covered? Am I reading GAF right?

I guess i will simply wait it out and see what happens

Is there a chance they wont refund my credit card ??? (in case thye dont send the goods)

Basically, how long until it gets to UPS if they shipped yesterday?

This is B.S if they cancel your order or wont refund (which they likely will), especially if some guys are accidentally getting two copies.

These guys deserved to get fucked if this is the case, and I think you should take them for whatever you can get (free game, credit, etc)

Your charge must be in on hold (it is not charged from you card, they are just friezed, until DR not confirm, that they want to complete transaction).

The email I just got is from Namco at a Digital River domain, and in that it gave me a tracking number that I put into UPS' website. Now I am waiting for UPS to get the package/tell me the estimated time.

Using the Order #/Product # I got from Namco all the way back in August did not work on UPS's site.

So, it seems, the Order # from Namco just works on Namco's site, and the Tracking # is sent when Namco confirms they shipped the product.

1. They create the shipping labels (this is what you see on the UPS site)
2. They apply the labels to the boxes
3. The wait for UPS to pick up said boxes
4. UPS brings it to their warehouse where they are scanned into the system
5. UPS routes it to you through their network
6. UPS delivers it
 
the most stressful thing that tomorrow is our last chance to have some changes , otherwise sat & sun are days off, i wont handle the stress of waiting for monday T_T

these motherfuckers at namco and digital river are just waiting for the weekend to come so they won't have to deal with us. they'll fucking quietly refund all our money and act like nothing happened.

Thanks for this, I had entered my order number in the wrong place and had no record whatsoever, apparently I've got a shipping label created (ordered in August, lol2dayshipping) so I'm assuming I'm in the clear.

I think I'm going to unsubscribe from this thread, I am fine waiting until next week. I feel really bad for those with cancelled orders, especially those who ordered during the Ninostarter period, that's completely unacceptable fiasco territory for sure.

Were you tracking by Reference, or by Tracking number, with your Namco order number at UPS?
That makes a difference. Has to be by Reference.

I went back to Namco's site and tried to look up my Order # again and now it says

"SOLD OUT! Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch – Wizard’s Edition Club Namco Exclusive
Boxed Shipment
Quantity shipped: 1"

So, now I know it's on its way.


Can Canada-GAF confirm:

I wont be charged brokerage fee? (What IS this? Is that just the shipping? Do I have to sign off on the package and pay extra? I am already charged on my card, as of this latest email)

I dont know what to do now, what's my next step? I am waiting on UPS to update the estimated time of delivery, but do I need to prepare to pay more, or can I just relax and wait for the mail?

I just got my e-mail confirmation that my package is being shipped. Sucks to hear some people got their orders cancelled. They really need to find another distribution partner. Hell, make it a Gamestop exclusive or something if needed.

Relief: just got my shipment email from Namco. I ordered the thing on September 3rd, which I think was the last day or close to it...

Well I called and talked to them. From the sounds of it if you tell them you got an email saying you are assured a copy they will reorder it for you. I opted not to do this because it means your stealing someone elses copy or they will catch it before it ships anyway. Apparently they have no way to check what email they sent you. This company is a joke I just wish they would stop ignoring it.

I'm gonna go ahead and assume that they printed it by mistake.
