PlayStation Plus Thread: Plus What? PLUS EVERYTHING!

Dang, not a bad list of EU Vita games honestly. Still, at least they are giving us a full game this time. I'm just glad they didn't give us something like Table Ice Hockey.

By the way, does anyone know if there will be a sale on Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath? I kept reading about it on different sites but couldn't find anything.

From looking at both lists I agree that europe does have more high profile games, but those are also the titles most people would have already bought before they hit ps+. The north american list outside of megaman seems to have more games that don't really get much attention. I'm sure KoF being on there got more people to check out a good fighter they would have otherwise would not have known about.

Awesome, thanks, so I'll just need to create an EU account then? Any funny business with the subscription (credit card region etc) that I should look out for? Should I buy a gift card from an online retailer instead?

AFAIK EU PSN doesn't like credit cards outside of the specific country (so non-UK cards might not work in the UK store), so it'll probably be best to buy PSN credit. Do also note that credit is region restricted based on the currency (so credit in pounds sterling only works on UK accounts, while credit in Euros doesn't work on UK accounts for obvious reasons).

By my count, both territories have had the same number of exclusive games (if you count The Walking Dead as one game and count Mortal Kombat Vita and Mortal Kombat PS3 as one game), but the EU exclusives list is clearly far better.

Games I would have downloaded and actually played out of that list

How big is Ninja Gaiden Sigma? My memory 32g memory card is almost full.

Also, I hope EDF gets a plus discount. I want to buy it, but it's so expensive for a DL title.

Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus - 2126mb

Just checked the PSN store web browser and wow, it's much much more easier to use. hah. Will use it more often.

Also sweet, for that EU plus content rumor being ace. That one month trial really came out at a good time. Looking forward to getting Sleeping Dogs and I guess I'll grab Ninja Gaiden just in case if I ever get around to picking up a Vita.

Edit: US Plus team should have made a Section 8 bundle discount instead of just Section 8: Prejudice. I haven't played neither of them, so is Section 8: Prejudice worth it for $5?

Before I could buy things in the American and Canadian store with my card, but they block it, so maybe it the other way around. If you need info for an European account PM me.

Yeah it's an OK game

No clue on the server population/community

These games are literally fly-by games

When they come in open shop, you got 1-2 months before people vanish and move onto the next fix

S8P was refined very well, S8 was OK, a Halo"esque" knock-off, it was just clunky mess
S8P alleviates all the originals problem, really does shine in some parts

For $5, why not give it a try, you might enjoy it

I got S8 for $5, friend lent me S8P

If going for Platinum, Godspeed
Really tough to do, unless you get boosting party
There are bots, but game needs 3 people to make it officially ranked

Dust 514 is a ripoff of this!

I could have swore that I read Jet Set Radio was free for PSN+ on the Vita. When I go to download it, it still has a price on it.

Did I miss the sale/giveaway? (I just subscribed 2 days ago).

Depends on your region. US plus had it removed on the 31st of December, EU plus will have it till Feb 13th.

Try getting a Euro trial so you can play the game.

Are any of those games on sale worth getting?

Pretty slow week for me otherwise. Already have NGS+, amazing game. Getting the sequel day 1.

Forgot Section 8 & Prejudice was an mp focused game. Thought it was just Singe Player games but yeah, I was just thinking of buying it so I can get the platinum. I really hate online trophies though and it just sucks when the online community becomes non existent, so I think I'll just pass.

I'm still trying to get that Two Worlds 2 plat too.

Screw this. They should sell PS3+ for $50, PSV+ for $50 and if you want to get both it should be $75. Of course the $75 PS3/PSV+ would get a new PS3 AND PSV game every week and not alternate like this. I will NEVER own a Vita (or another handheld) so it pisses me off that the PS3 selection is affected because they want to support a dying handheld. Please unshackle your successful console from your failed console Sony...

People are more likely to buy Vitas if they already have a bunch of games for it.

How many games were you getting before the Vita came to Plus?

They could give every game in the Vita catalog and it still would not be attractive unless it also became a smartphone or a tablet. Dedicated handhelds are for the 90's and 2000's.
Not going to play "hardcore" games with a 5" screen and Wii quality graphics.

I'm so happy for you and your little opinion there.

Maybe its just me but I have no use for a tablet or a smartphone... lol, unless they make a Sonim class unbreakable phone, its going to break in a few weeks the way I live my life ;)!

Well, my "little opinion" happens to be in the majority this time based on Vita sales figures.
I'd settle for a 8" version that could dual boot Android.

Still not happy that I am getting less for my PS+ with the PS3 because I refuse to play Vita games instead of superior PS3 games.

Ugh.

First of all, how do you know you're getting less? How many games were you getting before the Vita inclusion?

Second of all - Gravity Rush isn't inferior to all PS3 games. Neither is LBP Vita, or... bah, forget it.

Seriously, bet it wouldn't make a difference. You just woundn't get that extra vita game. They wouldn't replace it with some super secret game they are holding off because of those massive psn + vita releases ;).

Gravity Rush in particular is amazing and it would be a much lesser experience on a PS3.

Sorry if this has been covered before, but I've been able to find no real answer so far. A couple of months ago, I extended my PS+ subscription, so that it would end in July 2014 instead of July 2013. When just randomly checking a bit ago, I noticed that all of my PS1 games are still set to expire in July 2013.

Checking online, I read that opening games would reset the expire date to the proper date. Tried that, but no luck.

I also read that some games just expire and that's that, but all of my PS1 games have the exact same expire date (again, when my subscription was meant to be over before). So—what do I do to fix the dates?

Yes I'm sure customers are clamoring for Vita games in an 8" tablet while dual booting android. Vita is gonna turn around woop!!!

Just saw the update and it's pretty disappointing IMO. Hopefully we get sales like last week's sale more often because that was pretty awesome. I mean, a sale like that would be useful when we have weak offerings.

I think Japan would humbly disagree.

AFAIK, you have to manually update the license files one by one. The only way to do that is by starting a new download of the game. At the start of the download you'll see a brief message stating "Activating..."; this process will update your outdated license file with a current one that has the correct expiration date and will work with your already installed version of the game. You don't have to complete the new download, you can cancel it right after the activation process is completed.

Yes, that's correct, but the games reset to the new expiration date once the old expiration date has passed. If you launch an expired game (with the old expiration date) it will automatically renew its licence to the new expiration date.

You could do what kilthee says, that works, but it's not really necessary.

Okay, good. As long as it won't screw me up if my sub is still running but those dates have passed, then I won't stress about it. Thanks!

The thread tittle should be "PlayStation Plus Thread: Plus What? PLUS EVERYTHING IN EUROPE! and something in US"

NGS+ is a great vita update... hope to see it in EU PS+ in two months

SCEE and SCEA should update the same games... what sales will have NGS+ in europe if it's free in USA... none... that's why the updates should be the same... otherwise ppl will be skeptical to buy games free on other regions.

Sony already said that Vita being added to + would not affect the PS3 lineup, so unless you have knowledge of what their plans were before the Vita addition then you seriously don't know what you are talking about.

Why on earth would you want an 8 inch android booting Vita? That isn't a handheld, that's not soemthing you can pop in your bag and pull out on the bus. Saying that the Vita has Wii like graphics is also a joke, I'm guessing you haven't seen the likes of LBPVita, Hustle Kings, Uncharted, PSABR, Killzone Mercs etc? pretty certain I've not seen anything like those on the Wii.

I like Plus for the discounts more than the free games tbh @3@.

I like Plus for both the discounts and the free games!!! ^_^

Some of the free games I've already played, but grabing Far Cry 3, Tokyo Jungle and The Unfinished Swan/Journey bandle during the Xmas sale and Borderlands 2 for 27 euros the other day made it all worth it for me!

I've been a Plus sub since September and I've already made the money I paid for it out of the games and the discounts.

You should probably not renew your subscription to PS+. It seems like having Vita games on there is really affecting your everyday life.
