it's garbage.
I'll save everyone the trouble of hitting update button:

Just in game collectibles. For Uncharted and AC: Liberation, they're treasures that you can find in the game world. Some might be rare or hard to find, so it could be easier to get it as a gift.
Very little in the way of complex directional inputs. It's more about stringing moves together and effectively reading your opponent.
And boobs.
Nah, too much pressure thinking up a good thread titleGonna create the DOA5+ OT?
Thanks to the vitabros that gave their SFxT and UMvC3 feedback. I decided to revisit BlazBlue (which has been dormant in my memory card since last year) and ended up spending an hour in training mode. Forgot how gorgeous the game is! So good. Maybe I'll finally give the story mode a chance.
Yeah so looks like I'll be skipping this week's sale on the capcom fighters, and if I'm still in the mood for a fighting game I'll pick up DOA5+ once it comes out.

Hope no longer.Daaaaang, DOA5+ demo sounds beastly. Hope that releases in NA too.
Earlier in the week, Famitsu reported that Tecmo Koei would release a demo for Dead or Alive 5 Plus on the PlayStation Vita in Japan, sometime in the near future. This morning, Tecmo Koei confirmed a demo release for North America and Europe as well, along with a new game trailer, and an impressive rundown of demo features.
UMvC3 is an impressively faithful port, but the online community is deader than Sega's localization efforts. So I was debating with myself whether I wanted to get UMvC3 on sale this week. But then I have also been seeing all of the positive comments about DOA5+ coming up.
News of the demo and a discussion I had earlier this evening with a friend have made me decide to pass on UMvC3, and I will probably end up buying DOA5+ after I try the demo.
I say this because I have never played a DOA before, and I want to be sure I like before I buy. Soul Calibur has always been my go-to fighter series, and I have noticed a couple people compare DOA to SC recently too.

Man I really wish you could delete bubbles with shit like NEAR/Email/Trophies.
I will never use these things and all they do is make me scroll a few pages to get what I want.

I want to delete Welcome Park from my Vita.

DOA5+ isn't exactly Call of Duty, but its pool of online players is positively booming in comparison.

Not always. Sometimes they're challenges from friends, like with LBP or Smart As... sometimes it's money or missions that aren't unlocked (ToMB, Unit 13). Other times it is collectibles as you say (Uncharted allows you to ask for bounties from suits your missing), etc.
I just bought Street Fighter X Tekken for $20 from the Vita Anniversary sale so I can get rid of the cart version.
I didn't delete the cart data before installing the download version and now I swear I am seeing slowdown when playing offline that I don't remember happening before.
Is there some weird thing about downloading the same game you already had a cart version of that could cause this? I'm assuming no and I'm just insane.
Oh, I didn't know that. I don't have ToMB or Unit 13 so I didn't know they had Near integration. I wish more games had it though, then it would feel useful.
I only have the digital version and get some occasional stutter.I just bought Street Fighter X Tekken for $20 from the Vita Anniversary sale so I can get rid of the cart version.

Ridge Racer. So yeah, Tomb Raider reboot is an abomination (my thought on it),left a really bad taste in my mouth.
now, Is there any PSP game that kinda similar to the classic Tomb Raider games, or at least offer some sort of exploration, puzzles solving and isolation? (I already have all the Tomb Raider games and the PSP version of Anniversary and Legend)
How's MGS1 on the Vita?
I'm going to copy the digital version to my PS3, delete it from the Vita, and try the cart version again. I know some (all?) games load faster from the carts, too. Might have just wasted $20.
It might load a little slower, but it's not like night and day... at least, not that I noticed.
It's a negligible difference as far as load times go, despite the read speed differential. Like 1 second faster load times on Wipeout or something like that.I'm going to copy the digital version to my PS3, delete it from the Vita, and try the cart version again. MLB 13: The Show on Vita is the Oakland As of video game baseball: they play in a crummy stadium (the Vita), but when you look past that, theyre pretty damn good.
SFxTK is the first game where I noticed this. I play the game all the time and something seemed slightly off about the download version in terms of performance. But there shouldn't be any difference between the two apart from load times (by 1-2 seconds).
I
Was something in the water during the launch period or something? UMvC3 stomps all over SFxT graphically and performance-wise, and the same thing with NGS+ and its unfortunate sequel.
NGS+ is based on the PS3 version, which had a completely different engine from the XBOX original. It doesn't matter either way, because there's just no excuse EVER for single digit framerates. The fact that the base game is more complex or whatever doesn't contradict what I said about NGS+ not only looking better, but performing better as well. If the system can't handle it, then don't port it - plain and simple.NGS+ and NGS2+ are ports of games that were released 2+ years apart and furthermore NGS+ is a port of a port that was an xbox game. NGS2+ is a port of a port that was a xbox 360 game.
As far as UMvC3 and SFxT -- they both seem pretty spot on in regards to the console versions in my experience.
then you need to play Virtua Tennis 4, that game is pure portable sex for the eyes (native res,60fps,4xAA look great on screenshots and running Vita screen) it's just really depressing that it's a launch title and nothing to this day ( a year later) can even touch its greatness.
I downloaded all the dlc for Motorstorm RC. I don't why. But i hate myself for it.

And SFxT, hideous art style aside, lacks UMvC3's self-shadowing (it actually lacks shadows of any kind), anti-aliasing, and (as has become evident) rock-solid 60fps.
Will you hate yourself even more when I tell you can't delete them without deleting the game?
Ah, yes. I always forget that UMvC3 had static backgrounds. But it has animated backgrounds and the special effects are better quality than UMvC3.
I play SFxTK all the time because of cross-play. UMvC3, without this feature, doesn't get played very often.

Thankfully they are only like 5mb.
Heh, fine I'll do it ^_^You could try for something like:
|OT| DoA5+ (PSV) - Knock-Knock...er..., who's there?
But then again, I'm not too witty so...
Good luck ^_^
But you've gotta do it! You're our DoA champ!
