Anyone want to start up a new region with me tonight(assuming we can get in)? I'll probably start playing at like 6:30p EST. Already played around with single-player but haven't done any multiplayer yet. HIT ME UP.

All these angry people could have filled up the 2km square block like 100 times by now.

I player almost 30 hours and and I haven't filled an entire area.
In my most populated region I worked trough different cities so now look pretty realistic and not engulfed with squared metropolis.

Is low density residential still relevant as you upgrade ? I still getting "no worker" for some high density industrial and commercial . Is density the same as wealth ? Because I see high demand for low wealth residential .

Wenis? Actually I'd love to hear from him, hear how things are going over at Maxis. It must be frustrating for them big time. But yeah, he's probably not posting in fear of half of GAF bombarding him with requests and shit.

Density is controlled by the roads, you build land value with parks and other services which increases wealth, no matter the density.

Should be noted that if you increase your residential wealth, you will also need to increase your commercial wealth as well.

I didn't have any issues with that server last night except for the whole the inter-city connection being down. :\

I was at least able to tinker around with some of my ideas for traffic and growth.

When everything is working correctly, you will be able to do exactly that. Right now, you need to have residential if you want to get anywhere, I'm afraid.

Upgrade your roads. After you've done that, click on a house and it will tell if you if it doesn't have room to upgrade if it's ready to go up to the next level.

if you have another city in the same region who fullfill the need of homes you just need some residential builds to let the basic needs start to work

Damn, I feel for the people who bought the game and can't play it. It's completely unacceptable. I didn't follow the game much but were many specifics about the DRM system given prior to release? I have to imagine after Diablo III there'd be lots of questions. I won't be giving EA my money for this.
