They don't need patches. Just hold the touch screen while booting any PSP game. It'll allow you to remap the controls.

Got back into fighting games thanks to the Vita anniversary sale. Tried so hard not to buy SFxT and UMvC3 but who was I kidding.

Vita's D-Pad is godlike for pulling off moves! I may get crushed when I finally try out online but it'll be my own lack of skill holding me back and not the controls.

And is it at all possible to turn off the analog sticks while playing? It keeps getting in the way and making do things I don't wanna do.

I do play pad yeah and links are just practice and if you can plink that helps too. Some people in here are damn good on vita and can give you better advice I'm sure. As for the analogs I have no idea. They don't get in my way. Clicky vita pad is amazing.

I'm not sure it's worth trading a wi-fi Vita for a 3G model. I'm really not keen on the Vita's online functionality...would much rather use Chrome on the S3.

In UMvC3, is there any way to have the CPU player not pick retarded colors for the characters? I'd rather have normal colors/costumes than purple Wolverine.

I can only plink on stick, and my timing on vita/psp for anything SF related is pretty shitty. Only links I can get down on Vita are Slayer links for Guilty gear. And that's mostly because you can't plink in that game so it translates well to handheld for me.
