Vita PSN Game & Service Thread | March 2013 | Carving an Independent niche

So guys, what's on your to-buy list for the Vita this year?

Retail
Dragon's Crown
Final Fantasy X
Final Fantasy X-2
Killzone: Mercenary
Muramasa Rebirth
Soul Sacrifice
Tearaway
Ys: Memories of Celceta

PSN
Dragon Fantasy: Book II
Frozen Synapse
Guacamelee
Hotline Miami
Machinarium
Snapshot
Superfrog HD
Thomas was Alone
Velocity Ultra

Oh wait, I'm getting Thomas Was Alone for free through PS+ anyway. :D

One thing to note is that, if I can, I'll get those retail games off the PSN as well. But for games like Ys, Muramasa and Dragon's Crown, assuming they all get retail releases, I'll probably end up importing them from the US, as they'll probably take forever to come here (or won't at all).

For now

Retail:
DOA 5
Dragon's Crown
Final Fantasy X
Final Fantasy X-2
Killzone: Mercenary
Muramasa Rebirth
Soul Sacrifice
Ys: Memories of Celceta
Muramasa
Valhalla Knights 3
NGS 2

PSN
Frozen Synapse
Guacamelee
Superfrog HD
Velocity Ultra
Rainbow Moon

So guys, what's on your to-buy list for the Vita this year?

My list is:

PSV Retail
- Soul Sacrifice
- Final Fantasy X
- Muramasa Rebirth
- Ys IV: Memories of Celceta
- Dragon's Crown
- Maybe Final Fantasy X-2

PSV/PS3 PSN
- Lone Survivor
- Hotline Miami
- Binding of Isaac
- Maybe Machinarium

Mine is pretty much the same, without Machinarium and add in Guacamelee.

WHERE IS MY DOA5+?!

There's gonna be trouble.

Virtue's Last Reward will be free on PS+ next month in Europe. Hopefully North America gets something as awesome as that. :/
On the one hand, I don't own it for a change. On the other hand, I don't own it because I've no interest in playing it. Hmmm.

My wallet and 32GB card are already hurting. Looking at the lists in this threads lets me think Vitagaf tries to save the Vita single-handedly. So many good games.

Just picked up Twisted Metal 1 from the Psone classics section because i saw it on the newer releases and i loved these games

Wow

even though i know TM2 is miles better, 1 is still awesome and im having lots of fun playing through it

only thing i forgot that doesnt hold up is no memory card support so i need to jot down passwords for each level to resume where i left off

and the game is brutally hard on normal im barely making it through suburbia on easy

really sucks that car combat died out

cant wait to finish this up and buy TM2

oh and the PS1 emulator is miles better than it was last time i used it

You can make the screen fill vertically while retaining proper aspect ratio, and fuly remappable buttons are awesome!

What a great month, I can finish VLR and was pretty much getting Thomas Was Alone on day one anyway.

Then Okami HD on PS3, my one shameful moment from the last gen was not playing this The Cave I have been interested in, but not wanting to buy at full price just yet. The only one that doesn't interest me is Lord Of The Rings, but for free I will give it a go.

How come you want a digital copy may I ask? Id rather have the box and the cart and save my memory.
I much prefer digital. Physical media gets on my tits and it's easy to lose / resell. I'd rather have this stuff (PS1, PSP, PS3 & Vita) permanently tied to my PSN account so I can re-download it on a whim in the future.

Ain't nobody got time for switching carts.

I skipped on VLR because of 999 but looks I'll be getting it now.

I wanted to import Okami just to have the retail copy but this will do me.

Sure, I'll bite. Not sure if I'm forgetting anything...

Ha, I'm totally the opposite. I LOVE physical everything. Movies, soundtracks, games, the lot. I'm OCD tho so I get scared I might fucking scratch the box or some shit lmao. Might pick of DOA5+ down the line.

Hah I feel the same, I buy one game I really like in physical form to just have forever inside my vita, and then the rest of my purchases are digital lol (UMVC3 is in the vita for the time being)

I also hate having games installed on my screen, that I can't launch unless the carts inside.. So digital is the way for me (mostly)

Unless I REALLY REALLY like the game, then I usually buy both :P

I think we'd all go digital if we had bigger cards. I didn't want to purchase the physical copy of DOA5+. But my 32gb is maxed. I'd pay $100+ for a 64GB card right now.

Square already said they're selling the games separately on PSN. So that'll be 80 bucks in total for X and X-2

No physical release?

great another 2-3 games I'll have to delete :(

Anyone know of any cases or even those flip covers that work with the PDP trigger grips attached. I never take them off so it would be nice to not have to if I ever take the vita out the house.

Square Enix hasn't said what they're doing with the Vita versions other than the split release.

Maybe as an apology for making them separate releases, they can put the rest of their fucking games on the PSN. Fuck, man, I would love to have PSP FFI and FFII on my Vita.

well it's Sony's fault for not making bigger game cards after all,Sonny should give its apology.

Terraria is confirmed for PS3 on March 26th for US according to their Facebook. I was hoping they'd spring a surprise Vita port on us too, but I guess I shouldn't have got my hopes up. :(

oops, made a typo. All I know is that they're selling them separately, dunno if they're doing physical/digital only

Not in North America.

Europe, and Japan have them.

When my friend was showing off his shiny new white Vita I had no idea how to switch carts. It was literally my first time handling a Vita game cart and I've been a Vita owner for almost a year now. There was a little flashing light near the cart slot and I was like "WTF is this?"

just played Rocketbird Hardboiled for a few hour, I have some problem with the control and shooting (wish it play more like shanks) , but damn I love that little music video we got after completing level. lol

Jesus. Now the walking dead as well.
My wallet def preferred the game drought.
Cant wait to see the bad the walking dead..... isnt that the vita jokes.
