Vita PSN Game & Service Thread | March 2013 | Carving an Independent niche

I have a quick question if anyone knows the answer regarding Sly Cooper and the £20 Pre order.

I have a vita but no PS3, if i was to buy the PS3 version off PSN (Which i see comes with the vita version free) will i still be able to redeem it on my Vita or will it be a case of needing to download it on a PS3 and activate it from there?

Thanks

If you buy it on the web store you'll be able to download the Vita version straight from your Vita. You only need a PS3 to redeem the Vita download if you get the disc version of the game.

You don't need to DL it on the PS3 but to buy the PS3 version, it will only show up on the PS3 store. I'm guessing you'll have to buy it through the web store (you can buy both versions there from what I've seen) and you'll have no problem DLing the Vita version on your Vita while also having the PS3 version on your DL history.

Edit:

Beaten :P

Any hints on what the Sega game will be ??

Anyone know if Hotline Miami has a Vita date yet?

Never played the PC version and feel I might as well wait for the portable version.

Doesn't look like a football to me with the little mound in the center but i could be wrong.

Any sites with leaks that point to this being a football game and how is Virtua Striker anyway?

I'm pretty close to purchasing "Don't Starve" on Steam. I figure the game would work really well the Vita's touchscreen controls.
I actually decided to stop buying and playing indie games on Steam, I think Vita is a much better system for these kind of games. They'll be more expansive but then again I'll just buy fewer of them (I don't have the time to clear my enormous steam backlog anyway).

Maaaaaan I really hope that Sega teaser isn't for a soccer game :( Such an elaborate teaser just for a sports game. I know there are people out there who are like, die-hard into them but I just wanted a new RPG or something :X

I don't remember much grass in skies of arcadia though :P
I mostly remember skies >.>;
There was grass on some floating islands!

I'm hoping for a Skies of Arcadia, Valkyria Chronicles or Phantasy Star game (seems unlikely due to PSO2) but it will probably just be a soccer/football game. :(

Bit of a fancy tease for a sports title, though.

He is right though I really like 3D, even if it is gimmicky. But missing a second analog stick is a big issue for me and unforgivable.
Why Phil Fish up in my Vita thread with 3ds nonsense.

will buy fez if he drops it as I havent played yet and to support his trolling

I am right there with you. I am holding off on games that I would normally be gobbling up like crazy on Steam sales. I love the games, but I crave them on the Vita.

I find myself not really even interested in "AAA" games and would love it if my Vita was an indie powerhouse.

Indie games are worth double dipping. :)

I've been considering getting a Vita for Soul Sacrifice, so are there any chance of that amazing red Vita coming over to the states in a Soul Sacrifice bundle? I want it. I want it bad.

Great news, never did get the chance to play the walking dead on the PC or PS3, but I'll be sure to pick it up on the vita when it's released!!

Quick question, vitabros! Does anyone knows how to draw a 9 in smart as...? Everytime I try to do it, the game recognizes a 4 or a 0. This is ruining my time on arithmetics.

I start at the top right and write the circle/curve counter-clockwise and then go straight down.
So not really different than how you would normally do it.

I start in the center, then spiral up and around clockwise to the base.
The worst is easily 5. It always takes my 5 as a 3 or 9.

Too late. It's already bought. I'm sure I'll like it alright.

Well, I hope you do. I've been playing it the most out of anything on my Vita lately... I like the level up mechanic and it's good for picking up and playing quickly.

It's a shame... reading this does not give me the warm fuzzies.

Too expensive for PS3. Ad-hoc only for Vita (and too expensive).
Oh well, bargain bin it is.

I just happened to notice this thing when I was looking at my Vita and I realized I've NEVER noticed this since having it with the FEB. I was like, "What is this?!" Seriously, what is this?!

Wait...Adhoc only?
The word adhoc shouldn't even be in Sonys vocabulary.
Sorry Atlus....I love you but not that much

Dragon's Crown is not adhoc only on Vita.

wait so the PS3 version is online but Vita is local only?

I'm only relaying what I read in the joystiq article:

The PS3 price is $49.99, while on Vita it's $39.99. While the co-op game (for up to four players) won't support cross-platform play, multiplayer can be enjoyed both on PS3 and Vita, the latter via an ad-hoc network.

$39 is too expensive for you? It'll cost $60 in Australia and our dollar is stronger than yours.

$39 is nothing for a good game like DC.

$40+tax for a game with no online? What's the point when it's a co-op brawler? I'll buy it for PS3 instead of Vita and I'm still feeling like it should be $40 or less on PS3 at launch, but I'm a notorious cheapskate too. :P

Hmm, strictly speaking, it doesn't really say there's no online. Just that there is ad-hoc. We'll see, I guess.

I'm still kind of worried about this game. It's gorgeous obviously, but I'm not a terribly big fan of beat-em-ups, and I haven't seen anything to suggest the gameplay won't be shallow and boring. I'd like to think I can count on Vanillaware, but honestly I can't. They're only 100% reliable for their art.
