"Sees the controller, you guys move, splitscreen moves to be on the right side. #GDC"
Huh? What?
Lets say you're split screening with a friend. You switch sides on the couch, and your sides of the screen swap.

Have to enable people seeing your real name on the #PS4. Auto-enabled if you import from another social network. (Can be turned off)

#PS4 RAISES THE PSN FRIEND LIMIT. #GDC
Presumably that means that if you're playing a game where the screen is split down the middle and I'm sitting to the left of you and looking at the left side of the screen, if we swap positions on the couch, the two halves of the screen swap positions on the TV too."Sees the controller, you guys move, splitscreen moves to be on the right side. #GDC"

Cool, so I don't have to buy one with the PS4?

So every PS4 comes with the eye but it's not mandatory to use it?
Live area is an interesting concept on the Vita, but one that needs more refinement. Will be interesting to see how far they have come with it.
#PS4 Controller buttons are going back to digital over analog because no one used it on PS3. #GDC
What? Didn't GT5 use analog buttons?
All the #PS4 streaming and sharing: that's on the hardware. Devs don't have to do anything special to their game. #GDC
Seems that way. Seems like Sony is giving the devs a lot of control on what they want and don't want to use.
They've only confirmed a headset being included in every system. Guessing they're waiting on MS to announce pricing before committing to bundling the camera. So every PS4 comes with the eye but it's not mandatory to use it?

It's not recorded for the GDC Vault anyway, so if we are going to get some videos it will probably be directly from Sony. Are we going to get videos of any of this stuff? Some of it sounds cool. Also, he didn't say it but I get the impression the camera will be in the box.
Oh what the hell. I want my analog triggers, man.
GENIUS.
Hey, so am I! (@pikoeri)
Triggers will be analog. The face buttons won't be anymore, though.

Example of #PS4 social gaming: in games with choice, show what choices your friends made in-game.
#PS4 Remote Play: Screens are mirrored on PS4/Vita (Both on at same time). Hardware does it/not on devs. Start at any time; no special mode.
Controllers on #PS4 can be attached to a user, not just the system.
not mandatory though
This is awesome.

Sony employees walked the floor beaming, playing games, talking to the press, and introducing everyone to developers. They're not co-opting indie culture as much as they're becoming entrenched in it. Everyone I spoke to seemed to be a true believer.

you overthought it. It'll be just this gen with move. Whoever wants to use it will use it, whoever wont wont. Because it's not forced (so far), the overwhelming majority will not use it. There zero wrong with making the use of the eye for devs optional.Yeah, so Sony manages to split the userbase right out of the gate. That's just dumb. They have a chance at the start of the generation to offer one unified solution. To split it now is just stupid. Come on, Sony. Learn from your own past.
Interesting, but hopefully you can choose not to see choices you haven't made yet, to avoid spoilers.
"Remote play for #PS4 games is BOTH via local network and/or Internet."

Still no confirmation if the PS4 has a dedicated Wireless-N radio like the WiiU does
Which is one of the reasons why the PS3 was such a clusterfuck when it came to consistency (or lack thereof). Hopefully the basics like mute, cross-game invites, custom soundtracks etc. are at least standard features this time though.Seems that way. Seems like Sony is giving the devs a lot of control on what they want and don't want to use.

At PS4 dev talk. Platform is 64-bit x86. Dev environment is Win7 64-bit VS2010, LLVM/Clang with C++11 support. Wow, yes please.
^ thanks
Thought it meant the screen could actually show fullscreen somehow like those 3D TV's -_-
Real names mandatory? Come on, I dont like that one bit
