My old college roommate said he liked ordnance and getting lucky and getting cannons.
I had to facepalm and explain to him why its better to earn it, and then he said, dude its a video game!
Maybe he dont play games often....?

Um, so I'm a casual player...does that reallllly make me less important or smart than you guys? Is my opinion not as critical or valid as someone that considers themselves a competitive player?
You guys need to keep your self-importance in check and not confuse 'casual' with 'lack of caring about winning.'
I consider myself a casual player because I like to get on and have fun, but does that mean I don't like to win? Fuck off, of course it doesn't. Would I rather have a level starting ground instead of perks, specializations, and load outs? Absolutely.

i know casuals that prefered the older halo games, not all of them are the same.
That's exactly my point, it's a stupid misnomer to reflect inept gamers.
I'd go back to Halo 2 in a second if it were available and populated.

No one cares what you casuals think. Casuals have destroyed gaming. Hopefully Xbox 720 has a candy dispenser so every time you do something good it shoots a gumball or some shit at you.
If we do get a Halo 2 Anniversary, do you guys reckon it'd be a Xbox 720 Exclusive or a Cross Gen Game?
I'm hoping 720 Exclusive, so they can't just make the Multiplayer DLC for Halo 4.
Halo 5 most likely wont be out till fall 2015.It wouldn't make much sense from a business perspective to release Halo 2 with MP next year with Halo 5 on its heels.

They should just do it as an experiment. See how the fans and other adopt it. Track it on the xbl charts. They really got nothing to lose.
Upres to 720P 60FPS and ship it.
Because casuals care very little about anything.

How much money do you think a casual spends on Halo compared to yourself?Just to clarify when I say Casuals I don't mean people like heckfu. Despite his playing habits I think its pretty safe to say he has a deeper interest in Halo than the average Joe.
By Casual i mean players that either only entered this generation with the call of duty franchise or people who played some xbox back in 2004 with some buddies and bought a few EA sports and GTA games since. These people make up a huge percentage of the gaming audience but they are fickle and only care about the next call of duty release. They should never be the target market for a game because no matter how brilliant the game is the chance that they will flock to it or more importantly stay with it is very small.
Sadly you fuel the hype train enough and its going to pull large enough Day 1 numbers to make it attractive for publishers.
Gaming currently is in a poor position because it grew too big too fast with Call of Duty and The Wii and now Publishers are trying to appeal to 10's of millions of people at the same time which ultimately means the products delivered have to be suitable for mass markets making them easier, requiring less skill for accomplishments and more devoted to pleasing people who are likely to drop the game after a month.
Halo 4 is the perfect example of trying to make the series more friendly to this userbase and you can see the negative effect its had on the game and its population. Halo is pulling poor numbers because the crowd it was aiming for did not care and the crowd it had hated the changes made. Its not going to change either. Halo 5 is going to another poor showing with a few legacy features reimplemented so we shut up but things that are ultimately detrimental to the core gameplay like loadouts and AA's and sprint are going to stay.
A major problem is that 343i have already acknowledge that people want zero sprint gametypes with no AA's weapons on map and static spawns and yet are simply not making moves to push them out to players.
I'd wager in favor of population growth if they implemented
Legacy Map Pack (The Pit, Lockout, Midship, Warlock, Sanctuary)
Classic Slayer (No sprint, No ordnance, No loadouts, No AA's 110% movement)
Classic Objective (same as above) (CTF, Assault, Territories)
I'm not talking immense growth but I know a handful of players who would be more than willing to play it again if the above was implemented.

What's going on, fellas?

Less
Halo 4 peak for Monday was 33,554 (first time below 39k).
Curious to see what difference ranks and the Castle Map Pack will have coming up next week.
Doubt it.
I genuinely don't know what this means.
I think he's saying that while you spent more on Halo than most others, overall there are more of those casual types that bought the game than your type.I genuinely don't know what this means.
What were the population shifts like when the previously released maps came out?

not sure if serious or just terrible with simple words/phrases
I thought it might have been that but Id already said that "Sadly you fuel the hype train enough and its going to pull large enough Day 1 numbers to make it attractive for publishers."
Which I thought put across that I understand as a whole the casual market overshadows the core in terms of buying power.
I'm not sure if you genuinely think a single casual buyer spends more money on Halo than I do.
What the heck is a casual buyer? Someone who just buys one regular edition of the game? That's what I would assume.
Tell us your Halo purchasing history. You are clearly more than a casual because you post in this thread every 5 minutes. Didn't you buy a bunch of legendary editions or something for Halo 3?
Crazy to think the peak population is now 10% of what it was launch week
Free classic map pack could boost it, but there's no profit in that
I don't understand what your issue is with this but by casual buyer I did mean some one who purchases regular editions of games infrequently.
I spent a a fairly large amount of money on Halo 4, Less on Halo 3 and Reach but typically I get the largest SKU and other limited edition content made like consoles and art books. I don't see why this is a problem for you (or why my posting habits are)
My point behind the answer "less" was that I doubt that the "casuals" I previously referred to spent more on Halo than myself. What I don't understand is why you asked the question.
I just didn't think you'd be able to afford all of that stuff with how rough your financial situation seems to be.
Yet you have bought like every Halo console plus much more!

Buying expensive consoles is a non issue for you? Okay...
But it's okay because it's not being spent on drugs right?
Maybe you shouldn't blame the government for your unnecessary console spending. =/
