Yes. Starts out a little slow, but once the tank battles start it just keeps getting better and better.

Girls und Panzer is a fun show. It's basically Saki with tanks, a sports show about girls fighting in tanks.
It's fairly well received around here. I'd give it a shot.

I enjoyed it. Wasn't a great show, but the tank battles were fun and enough to keep it interesting.
No because Saki is terrible but GuP is great.

They are still incredibly similar shows. Hell, Miho is basically a copy of Saki, she even has the same exact backstory and motivation.

Today - it's not very well highlighted in the thread but they've announced they're doing an anime of Kyoukai no Kanata (the light novel they already did an advert for). What format it will take is not yet announced.
There's an image on the Otaku article that Chet's linked that says "Anime project in progress!" or something similar.
They announced they're planning an actual anime on it now.
Bizarre concept meets good execution.

There's speculation from Yuyucow on Twitter that Taichi Ishidate may be graduating from episode director to full director for the project. I don't follow KyoAni staff or news really so I don't know if that's a good thing?

Wow was this a treat. The visuals, coloring, and designs were spectacular and provided an amazing display of effects that would at times leave me muttering "holy shit". The characters were easy to like and even easier to love when you have a hotheaded character like Akko supported by the laid back jokester type Sucy and 1% ojousama Diana. Speaking of which, my OTP has to go to AkkoxSucy with AkkoxDiana being my reaaaaaally close second. Not really much else to say besides echoing what others have said already. Anime is saved, thank you based Trigger, etc.

Absolutely. It's a lot of fun and keeps getting better as it goes on. The CG was a little awkward to me at first but I got used to it and ended up even liking it (kind of like how the Love Live! OP grew on me). I will probably give it a rewatch very soon.
