Aww... The ****ed it up. No HSDPA.

What is this now?

Oh, and did I say I'd never use this as a phone?

Ah heh.

"Hi, Cingular? Yeah, how are you doing today? Uh huh. Uh huh. Listen, shut up for a second..."

+ Gorgeous, all-in-one

- Cingular only
- Inevitable astronomical price
- Only 8 gb
- No 3G

.....I'll wait for the 2nd gen, but still amazing nonetheless

I hate Cingular.... They suck in the Chicago-metro area. I hope they release a verion of this sans telephone, as an iPod, PDA, video players, etc...

Yeah, just was talking to Dormer on the phone and said the same thing. Not sure if I'll get the iPhone or not (maybe I could switch to Cingular).. depends on price and whatnot. But I do want to upgrade my iPod and these features sound amazing.

Won't be any worse than a regular smartphone.

I suppose that's true, although I've never actually used a smartphone before so this would all be new to me :lol

One one hand, I don't really use a phone that much to need something expensive...on the other hand, my current contract runs out in the summer. If I can switch to cingular and get it subsidized nicely, it may be cool to have. If anything, I can pick up chicks easier.

me: "yeah baby, give me your phone number. Slide your fingers on the screen to put it in..."

her: "oooh, that's so cool! i love your phone"

me: "yeah...speaking of sliding and putting it in..."

me thinks its gonna be more than 5 bills. Easily.

Has there been a phone in the US in recent years for more than that MSRP? I can't imagine it being much more.. $600 absolute tops, but I feel $500 is likely.

The Nokia 8800 on T-Mobile retailed at a $500+ price point

If I can buy it SIM unlocked and just plop my softbank SIM card into it, then no big deal. But I can imagine that they will lock that shit down tighter than a virgin on prom night.

wow there is either some serious hardware in there or some crazy advancements in battery capacity.

Proximity sensor helps regulate power consumption. Like when you put the phone up to your ear, the display goes to sleep.

soo yea, nokia, motorola, sony ericsson, lg, samsung, every other phone manufacturer owned big time?

they aren't likely to catch up to iphone's style and functionalities any time soon either.

Well, you can find a smart phone for just about any price you are willing to pay. No guessing how much this will cost, but I'm expecting above 500.

As cool as the phone features are, I could do without them. Give me a real iPod (30 GB) that runs OSX and has WiFi for internet. That's all I need.

Hell! We haven't even seen the "Internet Communicator" options yet! My god, I need this thing! I haven't had Techno-lust like this in a long time! :D
