Fighting Games Weekly | April 1-7 | And after 0-3, he has risen

It's ok, most of the people saying fighting games are just admitting they are bad at them.

Fighting games are the hardest genre so it's understandable.

Derrick saying that about fighting games is about on par with people saying the souls games are boring though.
IMO fighting games and RTS are the hardest. But that conclusion comes only because I've allowed myself to get informed about those genres. If your not informed and choose ignorance, yeah you get responses like Derricks.

I just haven't seen any other genres that demand so much thinking as fighting games and RTS' do to attain a competitive advantage. I just wouldn't expect anyone to understand without putting considerable time into the games and reading up on why stuff that they're doing that's working is working, and why what isn't working, isn't. I honestly couldn't even describe a frame trap properly, despite knowing what it is and how it works, and same goes for most casual players I guess.

Dark Souls is pretty boring, though

and it's not hard, just punishing
Jaxel's alt confirmed.

What the hell is going on in the background audio? Every now and again it sounds like someone's getting murdered down the street from the FGTV house.

Lol, Shoutouts to neogaf in the chat.

Who is it?

Oh man that was a godlike set. I said before the match was too close to call. And as predicted, the Wolverine and Frank were usually the deciding factor but the Wolverine/Spencer match up is in favor of Wolverine unless Spencer goes for some hail Mary stuff. Frank lvl4 shits on all of Rog's characters from a huge height but Bee got cocky one too many times and got his leveled Frank clipped by incoming Rog pressing buttons.

Frank West lvl4 with Jam Session is the best character in the game but Wolverine having the luxury to waste meter on Berserker Charge pressure and TAC into infinites is cheap as fuck. Would've been more in Rog's favor if he completed his combos.

Jaxel's alt confirmed.

FPSs can be just as hard if not harder to play individually. The genre is currently dominated by the CODs and Halos but games like Quake 3 require just as much mental edge and hand dexterity if not more.

I would put it as one of the hardest competitive games to be "good" at next to Broodwar, too bad we'll never see games like that made anymore.
