Skullgirls DLC Character vote | The Campaign united us, The Voting will destroy us

If only six percent of votes for round one came from Japan, I guess that my worry about a Marie auto-win is unfounded.

Bit more unsure now. I could see Panzerfaust, Beowulf, Minette or Eliza winning.
 
Annie really does seem more likely than either Minette or Eliza at this point, with Beowulf likely having the best chance of any of the remaining males. I have to agree with others who've said it doesn't seem all that likely that all of Japan is rallying behind Marie specifically (no more than any other region is all for one character specifically).

I really would not underestimate Annie.

And as much as I love Panzerfaust, I'm doubtful that he has what it takes to make final four. I could see Minette or Eliza making it to the finals, but only one or the other.

I'm not that confident, but she's pretty adorable. I can just see her appealing to a wide audience of people. I think it actually helps that she's not just a little girl, too, but rather part fish. It separates her from the others.

Your reasons for why Stanley got this far are thoroughly wrong. Most of Stanley's support comes from men based on his looks and for very good reasons. He represents one of the fiercest predators in existence and one of the most well respected professions all wrapped up in a non-ironic package.

Thinking it's the hardcore SG community is laughable.

I don't think the only people voting for him are in that crowd, but I think that's a big part of it.

I also didn't have enough room to squeeze in "plus he's basically just Dr. Shark from Wonderella, who has existed at least twice as long as Stanley has"
 
If the Skullgirls IRC is any indication of the game's "hardcore" community then I think it's pretty safe to say that Stanley is not a character that's being supported within that group of people, we all liked Stanley more so as an ambiguous concept (omg shark scientist) than a character that should get a slot over the likes of quite a few other potential candidates. It doesn't help that his gameplay concept sounds booooring.

I'd say it's more likely that the people who don't play the game are the ones pushing him the hardest.

Okay yeah, these are great points. I do have a strong feeling he won't break past the Top 16, but I think you articulated why better than I did.

Since the patch for the 360 version is shaping up to be finally released ... do you guys have any plans to do a special rebate for the 360 version when it's coming out to drum up some sales ?
