I was chatting with my ex from Boston right as the explosions were going off. She was home safe, though. Wasn't at the marathon.

You find me a year in the history of the last 100 that didn't have some sort of domestic bombing or explosion happen.
 
The timing of the explosions don't really make sense if the only target was marathon, unless there was something wrong with the timer.

Just right before my daily walk today too. Going to be walking as much as I can now today in honor of them.

How so? Setting off an explosion just as the large bulk of runners are finishing seems like the ideal time for a nutjob to do some real damage if the Marathon is the target.
 
Horrible. After the last year or two of crap happening this really makes me upset to see.

I hope the coward/s get caught and face justice.

I didn't even think of that.

If this wasn't an accident (we don't want to jump to conclusions) then was this a deranged individual or some malicious group? If it was a malicious group was it one from within or outside of the US? If it was outside I think we can assume their only motive was to cause damage. If it was a group within the US then there are tons of possible motives.

Even though we don't live in an active war-zone I know I'll still feel nervous until more details come out.

Yeah, there were lots of bombings in the late 60s/early 70s.
 
Part of Boston Gaf myself, live in Allston just outside the city. Hearing firetrucks and cop cars drive by every minute, sounds like the entire city force and nearby forces are mobilizing. Will post more if I hear anything, and you guys are right, lots of information flying around right now.

Well, my parents are black, and they grew up in deep Alabama in the early 1950s.

So yeah, they have scary stories.
