I'd argue the Boston picture is scarier.

Completely normal suburban town filled with mountains of SWAT members and Homeland security.

That picture is of what USED to be a normal town. Boston suburb will be fine in a few hours. The suspect will either be dead (most likely) or in custody. Or as a wild card, the suspect escapes and a lot of Boston's top police brass will be looking for new employment.

For those waking up here is the summary of what happened in Boston overnight. Attempted to rob 7-11, they killed an MIT police officer, hijacked a car, stole a police vehicle, threw explosives out of window during chase, got into firefights in neighborhood, one of them died from being shot to death by the cops and a bomb vest going off(suspect 1), and the other is hiding and there's supposedly bombs planted all over the place(suspect 2) .

They hijacked a vehicle for half an hour and told the driver they were they bombers. They let him go and he told authorities. I believe that's how they first made the connection.

The logical assumption to make is that it is referencing protection of their families IN THEIR HOMES. Which is absolutely a fantastic idea. That you would be able to defend your life and the lives of your family from a terrorist, or anyone else with deadly intentions, when they try to enter your home. You and your family can be the tragic story if you want. At least there are still some people around who allow for the lawful application of lethal force to protect and defend lives.

Yeah it's got to the point where every gun owner is a suspect. If I was in that neighborhood I would want a chance to protect my loved ones if they tried to invade my home.

I'm sure they have more than enough for a conviction. Wheelchair guy told them that he saw suspect #1 walk up next to him, put his bag on the ground right at his feet, and walk away. The bag detonated 2 1/2 minutes later and he lost his legs.

And that's just a small example of what WE know. I'm sure police have plenty more that's more than just circumstantial.
