I think MS will announce the specs at E3, this doesn't seem like the type of event to announce specs (being brodcasted live on spike and all)

Which means GAF will meltdown without confirmation of always online and no used games. Should be fun.
Doesn't seem so, but if it's airing on Spike he knows specifics or he will very soon.

I'm desperately trying to arrange the time off work for this. I have my days all set for the E3 conferences, but I'm half an hour short of getting home in time for this. Must find some over time in the next three weeks to earn some more time.
I hate working things like this. I find it incredibly hard not to be continually distracted during an event as I'm constantly glancing at the net and keeping on eye on my phone etc etc. It's better for everyone that I'm not at work!

If the rumors are true, they just won't talk about it at all. If they are (hopefully) false, then they will mention something about it either as an aside in the presentation or in interviews following.

We've had this exact date leaked by a reliable source for weeks now. While it's nice to have it be official most people who would be interested on GAF already knew. The PS Meeting announcement was kind of out the blue.

Would anyone be surprised if MS didn't actual reveal the specs and simply talked about capabilities? I can't be alone in feeling that way (unless, of course, the specs outpace those of the competition, which is seeming less and less likely).

I'm not expecting much to sway me towards buying the new Xbox over a PC for next gen, but let's see. I hope they have some neat features beyond the new Kinect, which I don't think will be that great for games. Still, I'm hoping for something meaningful or unique, like the GamePad on the Wii U or the social services on the PS4.
If the rumored specs are true then that is what they're going to do. Mention an 8 core processor, 8Gb of RAM, and a specialized AMD GPU and that's it. Tech talk will likely be focued on Kinect.
