Isaac was most likely the #2 guy. We already know that Beowulf was the #1 though, Lab Zero confirmed it.

The top 8 was an even split. No guy made it because of vote splintering. The male vote isn't gonna do that anymore. Plus, a ton of people said if a girl gets in first, they are gonna push for a male next.
 
Eliza won? I am fine with this, plus an evil new character to balance with two "goodies" is nice.

Still gonna push for Umbrella, Annie and Feng next round. The only guy I could vote is a shark : V

I'm more anti-Isaac than I am anti-Annie. If it came down to those two I'd actually vote for Annie, then hang myself with Sinestro's noose.

Ok, Eliza. I'll be happy to see you fleshed out! The official art up there is pretty awesome too, really going towards showing us more of her depth, which is much appreciated.

Too many characters to consider in round 2... I never voted Eliza in this round, so things haven't been made any easier for me, doh!

An Egyptian-themed lounge singer... great for the cast variety, Team Jam Session, and cool characters in fighters in general.

Could have had Annie, which would have been great for the story

Could have had Aeon which would have been great for story and gameplay.

Instead we get Eliza cause her fans don't play fighters and don't know how bad comeback mechanics are, and social justice warriors who just wanted her cause of her skin tone.

I'm glad I didn't donate as much as I originally was.

Possibly, but I think that will throw everything out of whack.

I really hope they don't do that though. It's not really cool to change the voting method half way through IMO.

The survey for the final round asked people if they wanted to change the way voting worked and back on the first day or so a vast majority wanted it so its not entirely possible.

The entire point of changing the voting system was to stop people from getting pissed off so just the top 5 probably wouldn't change much. Not saying I want to rank everyone though because that would be a pain.

But it also increases the chance for some shady voting.

I think it would be a mistake to change things now. Let the vote run its course.
 
Given what Peter said, it seemed like this vote was a lock since top 8 in any case though. Which is likely to mean that a second character will already be chosen by the time we're in top 8 anyway, given how landslide votes tend to work. I don't honestly think voting will be close by the time we're at top 8. There will be a 2nd character who is likely far better positioned than all the others by that point. And given the voting bloc, it's pretty unlikely that Beowulf/Isaac/etc. will be in that bloc. Particularly since seeing which characters are in the first top 4 greatly increases the chance that voters will pick one of the previous top 3 due simply to psychology (by this I mean that voters tend to move towards the candidates who already seem strong, if the previous strongest candidate has already been chosen).

As I said before, Beowulf missed the top 4 by 9 votes. He is already perceived as strong. Certainly the strongest male contender.

I don't think people will latch onto Annie, Minette or Aeon just because they were in the top 3. If anything, they'll work harder to push their own character to the top, in a much more focused manner. I think the top 8 is gonna look pretty similar, but I don't think that means the top 4 of this vote is an indicator of the next winner.

people are going to use these results to change their voting strategies so its going to be shady regardless. I never said I wanted the voting system to change and I don't expect it to make a difference since I already have a good guess of who's going to win this time.

I was really surprised, after the big margin comment I thought it was definitly Annie.. with a slight chance of Minette.

While I did not vote for her until this round she was one of my original five or six :3
